HUDSON, Mr. George J. - Age 55, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11a.m. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Hudson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8p.m. Monday. Mr. George Jerome Hudson was born February 24, 1955 in Mobile, Alabama, the son of Delores and George Hudson. George was a resident of Flint, MI. He was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids, MI and attended Inner City Church. Jerome was a welder by trade and his hobbies were bowling, fishing, dominoes, playing chess, grilling and working in the yard. He enjoyed talking with people, helping out where or whenever he could and was very likeable. He loved kids and kids loved him. Jerome loved life and he was truly a jokester. Mr. George Jerome Hudson leaves to cherish his memory: soul mate of 17 glorious years, Brenda Williams; son, George Jerome Johnson of Grand Rapids, MI; daughter, Kisha Johnson of Milwaukee, WS; 2 stepchildren, Chevoncy Teonee (Tyrone) Doby and Larry Earl Williams, all of Flint; 9 grandchildren, Kamia, Keia and Kristian Johnson of Milwaukee, WS, Olivia, Isaiah, Mickayla Johnson of Grand Rapids, MI, Tytiana, Telaya and Lamaya Doby, all of Flint; stepfather, Henry Lewis; sister, Angienette (Bennie) Watts; brother, Leonard (Donna)Bridges all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; 2 aunts, Della Sylvester and Sammy Lee Mitchell; mother-in-law, Mary Williams; sisters-in-law, Gail Elaine (Ralph) LuSane and Sharon (Sherrod) Williams; brother-in-law, Clyde (Dorothy) Williams, all of Flint, a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Mike, Brian and his pet dog B.J. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Lewis; father, George Hudson; stepfather, L.T. Bridges; grandparents, Tiusey Anderson and Ardela Ponson; aunt, Verna White; father-in-law, Earl Williams and brother-in-law, Trent Williams. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Alfred L. Harris, Sr. and all that have supported our family in our time of bereavement.
