BRAY, Mr. George E., Jr. "Ed" "Puddin Pie" - Age 53, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m., Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 1 p.m. Monday. Mr. Bray will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Mr. George E. “Ed” “Puddin Pie” Bray, Jr. was born September 28, 1957 in Greenville, Georgia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Jewel Bray, Sr. George was a resident of Flint and a member of House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Northwestern High School, “Class of 1975”. George retired from Buick a division of General Motors in 2005. He was also a member of the Sons of Zodiac Motorcycle Club. Mr. George E. “Ed” “Puddin Pie” Bray, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: fiancée, Willie Mae Gregory of Flint; daughter, Najha J. Bray; 5 sons, George E. Bray, Jr. (Meleah Webster), Thomas J. (Chelsea) Bray, Rayshone Fuqua, James Fuqua and Antwon Armstrong; 2 stepchildren, Youvena M. Bowie (Rick) and Valarie A. Farmer of Texas; 5 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; parents, Jewel Bray of Flint and George Bray, Sr. of North Carolina; sister, Gloria Powell of Flint; 4 brothers, Willie (Maxie) Bray, Michael Bray, Kenneth (Carmelita) Bray and Darryl (Arnetta) Bray; 7 nieces; 7 nephews; 6 aunts, Mrs. Thelma Weems, Mrs. Ewillie Willis, both of Flint, Mrs. Bertha Williams of Florida and Mrs. Carrie Bell of Bussey, GA; 3 uncles, Mr. and Mrs. James (Corine) Williams of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Melton (Georgia Mae) Williams of Georgia and Mr. Clarence Bray of Detroit, MI; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Glen Brown, Maurice Brooks, Terry Hill, mothers of his children, Mrs. Karen Webster, Mrs. Jada Hairston and Ms. Diane Armstrong, special friends, Glen Brown, Terry Hill, Maurice Brooks, the Bray, Watson and Williams families. Mr. Bray was preceded in death by his daughter; brother, Anthony Bray; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; and brother-in-law, Jerry Powell. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart and the House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church family, the staff of Hurley Medical Center ICU unit, the Sons of Zodiac, Flint Eagles, Boogie Down, Sin City and Street Riders Motorcycle Clubs, all family and friends.
