Mr. Fredrick James Sr.

JAMES, Mr. Fredrick Sr., - Age 66, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, in New York. Family hour 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral services commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery.G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Tuesday. Mr. James will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM Monday. On December 24th 2023 our beloved Fredrick Duane’ James Sr. was called home to be with our lord. Born to parents Frederick James Sr. and Mary Rose Trammel on February 6th 1957 in Flint Michigan, “Wayne” as he was affectionately known by friends and family members, displayed musical gifts at an early age. During high school he began singing in local bands as well as playing various instruments including the guitar and the drums. On March 30th 1974, Duane joined the army becoming a member of the Armed Forces and he proudly displayed his patriotism by serving our nation. He would later relocate to Syracuse New York where he lived until departing to be with our Lord. Duane was known a peaceful man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to dress fashionably. He enjoyed the arts and crafts as he was very talented with his hands and during his past time he could often be found working on cars and fishing in his free time. Most importantly Duane loved the word of GOD. In addition to being a veteran, He was a father, an uncle and a friend. Fredrick Duane James Sr. leaves behind to cherish his loving memory: wife, Trina Coleman; children, Frederick D. James Jr., Preston Logan, Renesha Lawson, D’ Asajanae Coleman, Timothy & Titus Coleman, Hope Coleman, Faith James, and Bobbie James; grandchildren, N’rya Lawson, Tyler & Taylor Torres, Sedric Cooper Jr.; sisters, Brenda Givens and Yolanda Morgan. Also left behind to cherish his memory are stepchildren, Shneek Coleman, Vanche Golden, Perry Lee, Robert Lee and Rochelle Daniels; and a host of very special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, as well as cousins that were very close and dear to his heart.
