Mrs. Freddie Lee Watkins-Charles-Cobb

WATKINS-CHARLES-COBB, Mrs. Freddie - Age 85, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, January 13, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Pastor James Hodo, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the chapel 1:30 PM Friday. Mrs. Watkins-Charles-Cobb will lie in state in the Chapel and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Thursday. Mrs. Freddie Lee Watkins-Charles-Cobb was born June 18, 1937 in Eudora, Arkansas, the daughter of Frank Watkins and Eddie B. White. Freddie was a resident of Flint, Michigan and attended Mott Community College, Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Comp Tia and Construction. She was a member of Los Angeles United School District Teacher Association as a Substitute Teacher, Certified Nurses Association Retired CNA, Cedar Sinai, St. Joseph’s Medial Center and was employed at Flint Osteopathic Hospital in Flint. Freddie was a member of Aiken Avenue Block Club, AARP, Flint Public Library, UAW Local #659, and Brennan Senior Center. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and canning. Mrs. Freddie Lee Watkins-Charles-Cobb leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Elnora Charles of Winston-Salem, NC and Kassandra Cobb of Fullerton, CA; 2 sons, Isaiah Charles Jr. of Lansing, MI and Aska Charles of Flint; 9 grandchildren, China Charles of Dallas, TX, Aska Charles Jr. of Fort Worth, TX, Jenero M. Osborne of Michigan, Pilar Charles, Anatasia Charles, both of Lansing, MI, Violet Patricia McKenzie and Kamziyochukwu of San Jacinto, CA; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mary Watkins, April, Laura “Luvee” Watkins, Roberta Uribe, and Wanda Pimental, all of Utah; 10 brothers, Evan Lambrose, Roger Lambrose, both of Utah, James E. Shine, Johny McCoy of Atlanta, GA, Willie B. Sanford of Arkansas, Ozell Watkins of Utah, Mose Watkins, Eddie Watkins, Jackie Watkins and Kevin Watkins of Utah; 12 nieces, Brandy-Tyaisha Shine,Josephine, Jeanette, Shine, Stacy, Denice Sanford, Earlene Johnson, Corine Wilson, Sasha, Phyllicia Noel, Angelique Watkins and Antoniettella Winkfield; 12 nephews, Damond and Willie B. Sanford Jr., Troy and Roy James Shine, Charles Craig, Marc, Eddie Lovell and Kevin Frank Watkins, Jason Watkins, Melvin Hampton, Bruce Wilson Jr. and Chris McNeely; uncle, Samuel Lambrose of Phoenix, AZ; 5 sisters-in-law, Cindy Watkins, Beverly Watkins, Roberta Watkins, all of Utah, Annie McCoy of Arkansas and Coretta Sanford; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Joann Woodson, Jeffery Osborne, and Mrs. Doris Baskin. Mrs. Watkins-Charles-Cobb was preceded in death by her, parents, Frank Watkins and Eddie B. White; step-parents, Ruth Lambrose and Mama Evalynn; grandparents, Josephine Gray and Moise Watkins; 2 aunts, Mrs. Jessie Lee and Laura Watkins; uncle, Spencer Watkins; special friends, Mary Sterling, Joseph Bailey, Henry E.
