Mr. Frazier McKeown

McKEOWN, Mr. Frazier - Age 83, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at St. John Christian Church, 1525 S. Saginaw St., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Pastor Derrick Nolan, officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Tuesday. Mr. McKeown will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday. Mr. Frazier McKeown was born August 27, 1936 in Sturges, Mississippi, the son of the John Bunk and Amanda McKeown. Frazier was united in Holy Matrimony to Evelyn Rodgis for 35 years. He moved to Flint, Michigan around 1958. Frazier was employed at Chevrolet Manufacturing (Chevy in the Hole), a division of General Motors Corporation, where he retired in 1991 with over 30 years of service. Frazier later met and married Emma Thomas who was the love of his life. They were married for 12 years until his untimely death. Frazier enjoyed watching sports on TV and fishing, where he had several fishing buddies over the years. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with family including traveling and visiting with other family members that lived out of town. Mr. Frazier McKeown leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife, Emma McKeown; 2 daughters, Belinda A. Mays and devoted daughter, Wanda (Rondey) McKeown; 2 sons, Bruce T. McKeown of Flint and Ricky (Valencia) McKeown of Kansas City, MO; special son, Roderick Clements; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Dee Dee;4 step-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law, Laura (Jerri) Adkins, all of Flint, Constance Mayo and Mathilda Rigmnaden, both of Lake Charles, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Frazier remained good friends with all his in-laws or outlaws “LOL”. Mr. McKeown was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn McKeown; 6-month-old baby boy; stillborn baby girl; son, Frederick McKeown; daughter, Donna McKeown; parents, John Bunk and Amanda McKeown; sister, Ada Lee Smith; 5 brothers, Walter, John, OC, Charles and Willie McKeown; son-in-law, Andrew Mays. The family would like to express special thanks and appreciation to Wanda McKeown for support in taking care of dear dad and to everyone for your prayers and kindness during our time of bereavement.
