RELERFORD, Mr. Frank - Age 91, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at Serene Meadows of Grand Blanc. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Southeast Christian Church of the Apostolic Faith, 4171 Lapeer Rd., Burton, MI with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Suffragan Bishop Kenneth M. Brown, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Church 10:30 AM Saturday. Mr. Relerford will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2025. Mr. Frank Relerford, age 91, of Flint, Michigan, passed away on February 21, 2025 at Serene Meadows of Grand Blanc, MI. Frank was born June 27, 1933 in Flint, Michigan, the ninth child of Nick and Elizabeth (Tolbert) Relerford. He was a lifelong resident of Flint and attended local schools. Frank dedicated his career to Miller Whol/Three Sisters where he eventually retired after 32 years of loyal service. He was an active member of both Bethlehem Temple and Southeast Christ Church. Throughout his time at these congregations, he served on the Usher Board, sang in the Choir, worked as Custodian, provided security, made banners and captured moments as the Church Photographer. As a child, Frank loved roller skating and riding his bike. Even as an adult, he often used his bike or walked to get around. He enjoyed sports and was a devoted fan of the Detroit Pistons, Lions and Red Wings. Frank discovered his passion for photography in the mid-century. He initially focused on landscapes but soon branched out to family photography. His talents extended to capturing wedding moments and fulfilling various other photographic needs. For Frank, photography was more than just a hobby—it was lifelong passion. Affectionately known as “Uncle Frank” to many, even those not related by blood considered him family. Mr. Frank Relerford is survived by: sister, Viola Relerford Massey; brother, Dennis Relerford; many niece, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews and his special friend, Karen Russell Woods; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Relerford was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Elizabeth Relerford; sisters, Doris Cotton, Mabel Smith, Roberta Buycks, Oris Smith and Tomie Mae Crawford; brothers, Jack Willis Relerford and Adam Relerford. The family would like to express special thanks to Suff. Bishop Kenneth and First Lady Juliet Brown, Hurley Medical Center, Henry Ford Hospital and Serene Meadows.
