LEE, Mrs. Flossie M. - Age 78, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Riverbend Nursing Home. Family hour 10AM Monday, August 15, 2005 will be held under the auspices of Bishop Billie Bamburg of the Liberty Christian Outreach Ministry, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with Jehovah Witness Service commencing at 11AM. Bro. Ashley Walker officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home at 10AM Monday. Mrs. Lee will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10AM-6PM Sunday. Mrs. Flossie M. Lee was born on August 22, 1926, in Lowndes County in Columbus, MS the 3rd eldest child of Governor and Lelia Spruill. She graduated from Robert Hunt High School in 1947, and later met and married Percy W. Lee. To this union was born fraternal twins, Joey and Joanne Lee. Mrs. Lee relocated to Flint in Dec. 1952 from Toledo, OH, and was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1977. Mrs. Flossie M. Lee leaves to cherish her memory: twins, Joey and Joanne Lee; 2 grandchildren, Chad (Debra) Lee and John Lee Patrick; great grandchild, Nathaniel Mitchum; 3 sisters, Dorothy (Allen) Harris of Chicago, IL Lessie (Andrew) Smith of Providence, RI, Seretha (Johnny) Johnson of Columbus, MS; 4 brothers, Willie Bob Spruill of Mansfield, OH, Henry Spruill of Chicago, IL, Oray (Beatrice) Spruill, Connell (Margaret) Spruill of Pontiac, MI; 3 brothers-in-law, Otis Gipson of Toledo, OH, James Hodges and Jimmie Lee Childs both of Chicago, IL; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including very special friends, Odessa Allen, Barbara Elzy, Dorothy Clark, and the Northeast Jehovah Witness Congregation. Mrs. Flossie M. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Percy W. Lee; parents, Governor and Leila Spruill; 4 sisters, Tommie Gibson, Robbie Hodges, Arlee Childs and Izola Foster; 2 brothers, O.C and Ervin Spruill. The family would like to thank the Nursing Staff of Genesys Medical Center 2 North, including Linda, Julie, and Susan; the Northeast Jehovah Witness Congregation, including Dorothy and Barbara, Bishop Billie Bamburg and the Liberty Christian Outreach Ministries Church family.
