Mrs. Flossie Mae Greer

GREER, Mrs. Flossie Mae - Age 81, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at Oaks of Woodfield, Grand Blanc, MI. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at North Central Church of Christ, 2001 N. Saginaw Street, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Rigel Dawson officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt.Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Greer will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Flossie Mae Greer was born March 27, 1935 in Cornersville, Tennessee, the youngest of five children born to Mr. & Mrs. Robert A. and Lorean (Redmond) Lee. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, being baptized and becoming a member of St. Matthew A.M.E. Church. Flossie attended Marshall County School System. Upon graduating High School, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Charles H. Greer. Shortly after the wedding, the family relocated to Flint, where Flossie became a faithful member of North Central Church Of Christ. She worked for Hurley Medical Center as a Medical Assistant, retiring in 1985. Flossie would spend her free time doing word puzzles, sewing, crocheting, baking and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Flossie Mae Greer leaves to cherish her memory immediate family: sister, Hattie Johnson of Cornersville, TN; brother, Robert A. (Letha) Lee, Jr. of Detroit, MI; nieces, Lois Fulton of Ecorse, MI, Beverly (Matt) Bates of Ripley, TN, Dr. Pamela J. Lee Johnson of Grand Ledge, MI; sisters-in-law, Bettye L. and Claudine L. Greer, both of Indianapolis, IN and Lois (Albert) Johnson of Lufkin, TX; brothers-in-law, Paskle (Ida) Greer of Mt. Morris, MI, Ronald G. (Louise) Greer of Lewisburg, TN, Paul G. (Florstean) Greer and James W. Sr. (Eloise) Greer, all of Flint; nieces-in-law, Allie K. (Chris) Henderson-Fitts of Old Hickory, TN, Annelle R. Bryant of Lewisburg, TN, Joanne M. Chambers, Barbara J. Nash and Allie J. Amos, all of Indianapolis, IN, Celis Malone of Lufkin, TX; nephews-in-law, James W. Jr. (Deonica) Greer of Grand Blanc, MI, Ritchie (Karen) Greer of Lewisburg, TN; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Greer was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles H. Greer; and 2 sisters, Lucille Walker and Izora Buford.
