Mr. Felton Dewayne Toliver

TOLIVER, Mr. Felton Dewayne - age 50, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Sparrow Hospital-Lansing, MI. Family hour 10a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with celebration of life service at 11a.m. Pastor Patrick W. Sanders, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Toliver will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1p.m.-6p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 4p.m.-6p.m. Mr. Felton Dewayne Toliver was born October 31, 1963 in New Orleans, LA, the son of Mack and Dorothy Toliver. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Bishop Otis A. Otis Floyd. Mr. Toliver joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he served on the Men’s Usher Board and Security Ministry. He was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church. He was employed with J.B. Hunt Transportation for 24 years where he received an honor for having 2 million miles without an accident. Mr. Felton “Cool” Dewayne Toliver was united in Holy Matrimony to Angela, July 5, 1998. Mr. Dewayne Toliver leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 15 years, Angela; they were blessed with 7 god-children, Tomecia, Currasha, Christina, Gabrielle, Gary Jr., Jeremiah, and Eric Jr; 2 sisters, Carmela (William) Clark and Gwen Toliver all of Flint; 6 uncles, Eurdis (Gloria) Adams Sr. of Liddieville, LA, Melvin (Luretha) Adams of Flint; Glen (Valda) Adams of Houston, TX; Calvin (Ellen) Adams of Wisner, LA; Roger (Diana) Adams of Houston, TX; Henry (Ruth) Toliver of New Orleans, LA, 4 aunts Catherine Brass of Flint, Gloria Adams of Chicago, IL, Vanessa Adams of Wisner, LA, and Marcella (John) Johnson of Alexandria, LA; mother and father-in-law, Frank and Cornelius Brown of Sicily Island, LA; 2 nieces, Kya and favorite niece Jordan; 2 nephews, Corey and William III; 2 greats nieces; 9 sisters-in-law; 7 brother-in-laws; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends; including stepmother, Vera Toliver; stepsister and stepbrother, Marva McCann and James Holiman; special god-parents, Waymond and Leola Harris, Sr. and family; William and Mary Flippen and family. Mr. Dwayne Toliver was greeted in glory by his parents, Mack and Dorothy Toliver, grandparents; and special uncles and aunts. A special thanks to J.B.
