JOHNS, Mr. Felix M. – age 57, passed away, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 Am Saturday, September 28, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Johns will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2024. Mr. Felix Morris Johns “Felo” was a caring brother, uncle, cousin and good friend. Felix closed his eyes on this side and woke up on the side of Glory; Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Felix was born September 23, 1966 in Mississippi. He became a resident of Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Northern High School, “Class of 1986.” He was employed at Hurley Medical Center and Diamond Cleaners in his spare time. Felix loved going to the store getting his sweets, he loved his sweets. Felix also loved spending time with family, traditional family Barbecue’s, going out to eat, playing cards and board games. He would tell you a story about someone, what day it was, what they had on, what color they had on, etc. Felix was also a jokester, he kept the family laughing, even in the hospital bed he was joking. Mr. Felix Morris Johns “Felo” leaves to cherish his memory: 2 sisters, Lendra Johns of Flint and Vanessilla Henderson; 5 brothers, Kelvin Johns Sr., Micheal (Kimberly) Johns Sr., Kenny (Vonda) Johns, Ronnie Johns, all of Flint and Frankiedale Frazier of Atlanta, GA; 10 nieces, Tatiana Wells, Tonea Johns, Tanijah Johns, Tamyla Johns, Mikayla Johns, Kamitria Johns, Shaniqua Cochran, Shania Cochran, all of Flint, Alexandra Shackelford of Detroit, MI and LaSheckia Lyons of Memphis, TN; 4 nephews, Kendrick Johns, Micheal Johns Jr., JaVontez Mitchell, all of Flint and Kelvin Johns Jr. of Memphis, TN; 5 aunts, Sammie Woods of Sturgis, MS, Dorothy (Fred) Foggie, Helen Perkins, both of St. Louis, MI, Alice Curry of Chicago, IL and Bonnie Sturdivant-Roberts of Sturgis, MS; a host of cousins including special cousins, Tracy Jackson, Tony Jackson, Yolanda Perkins, Mallary Roberts, Jaron Pearson; 2 sisters-in-law, Vonda Mitchell-Johns and Kimberly Johns; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Ruth Alexander, Emma Smith, Joann Tate and Joyce Black. Mr. Johns was preceded in death by parents, William (Mary) Johns Jr.; grandparents, Effie Taylor, Joe Sturdivant, William Sr. and Dircus Johns; Fredrick Crawley, TaQuaylin Thomas, Bennie Sturdivant, TreVon Mitchell, Willie Smith Jr., Howard, LG, OG Johns and PJ Roberts.
