Ezell Evans

EVANS, Mr. Ezell, Sr. - Age 75, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 735 E. Wager St., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Pastor James Waldon officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Wednesday. Mr. Evans will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Tuesday. Mr. Ezell Evans, Sr. was born May 11, 1931 in West Point Mississippi, the son of Johnny and Alee Evans. He was a faithful member of Gospel Temple M.B.C. In 1988 he retired from General Motors Fisher Body in Grand Blanc, MI. Ezell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who has touched many lives. Over the years his favorite past times were traveling, hunting, fishing, gardening, carpentry and most of all spending time with his family. Mr. Ezell Evans, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: loving and devoted wife, Louise Evans; children, Arnita Evans, Brenson (Alicia) Evans, Regina (Paul) Garrett, Tina (Michael) Gaines, Judith (Manuel) Cadine, Sadie Ann Banks, Pearlie Mohanned, Ezell (Zenobia) Evans, Jr., Larry Evans, Anthony Evans, Tommy (Ann) Evans, Joyce Evans, Doris Evans, Barbara Kemp and Lillie Paxton; 32 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, all of Flint; 2 sisters, Sadie Burr of Flint, and Lois Simpson of Omaha, NE; 2 sisters-in-law, Fannie Smith and Cora Kemp; 4 brothers-in-law, Kenny, James, Inell and Willie (Perry) Kemp, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special nephew and niece Will and Annie Evans. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Alee Evans; grandson, Richard Burks, Jr.; 2 sisters, Mattie Evans and Betty Collins; 2 brothers, Willie G. Evans and John H. Evans; mother-in-law, Beatrice Kemp; 2 sisters-in-law, Ethel Kemp and Pearline Bullock, 2 brothers-in-law, Wallace Burr and Frank Kemp.
