TAYLOR, Mother Eva "Sistee" - Age 91, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, G-6415 Clio Rd., Mt. Morris, MI., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Wallace Hill, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Saturday, May 4, 2024. Mother Taylor will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Friday, May 3, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Mother Eva Mae Taylor was born March 10, 1933 in La Grange, Georgia, the daughter of the late Annie Lou Barton and C.S. Stinson. She was employed at Chateau Garden Nursing home until she retired. Mother Taylor was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers Board, Usher Board, Nurses Guild and Kitchen Committee. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and brother. Mother Taylor had much fun spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, making pies, cooking and shopping. Mother Eva Mae Taylor leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Evelyn Taylor (Ronnie Presswood) and Yolanda Taylor (Fred Jones); 12 grandchildren, Torie, Twylia, Jatavis, JaQuodre, Jaylon, Tajah, JaQuantay, Keona, Taylor, Timothy Taylor-Jacobs, JaQuon Callahan, Jamalle Payne, and Tanjermika (Michael) Walker; 23 great-grandchildren, Ty’Rik, Ny’Driuanna, Nataezajah, Makenzie, Jakari, Miking, JaQuodre Jr., LaQuonna, Drishya, Miasiax, Jatavis, LaTaea, Jayden, Alayah, Jayla, Crisiah, Michael, Makhi, Tanjané, Timothy, JaQunatray Jr., Tristan, and Kaleel; and special great-grandchild, Jonathan Jones; 3 sisters, Shirley Barton, Evelyn Barton, both of Flint and Gloria Webber of Grand Blanc, MI; 3 brothers, L.S. Barton of Flint, Jackie and Ricky Stinson, both of Rochester, NY; sister-in-law, Ordean Stinson of Georgia; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Marva McDaniels and Johnnie Sanders. Mother Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Curlie B. Taylor; 2 sons, Timothy and Curtis Lynn Taylor; 2 sisters, Mary Roman and Charlie Ruth Moore; 3 brothers, Herman Stinson, Johnnie Tucker and Morris Stinson.
