WALKER, Mrs. Eular Pearl - Age 87, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her residence. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3502 Lapeer Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Marvin A. Jennings, Sr. officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Walker will lie in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, with family present from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. to receive friends. Mrs. Eular Pearl Walker was born August 9, 1928 in Louisburg, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Norman and Valeria Branch. She accepted Christ at a young age and attended Nelson Chapel Baptist Church. Pearl attended Franklin County Training School, and was then employed at The State School of The Blind. On February 12, 1950 she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Wilbert A. Walker and to this union, 6 children were born. Mrs. Pearl Walker was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being surrounded by family and always cooking. Pearl always had a cake or pie on the table for visitors. She had a kind word for everyone she encountered. After moving to Flint she joined Grace Emmanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Eular Pearl Walker is survived by: 4 daughters, Ms. Barbara Walker, Mrs. Gwendolyn Henley, both of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Deborah (Willie) Chambers, and Mrs. Doris Walker; daughter-great-grand she lovingly raised, Celeste Walker; 2 sons, Wilbert Walker and Elton Walker, all of Flint; 10 grandchildren, Ericka Walker of Charlotte, NC, Gerald Walker, Angela Walker, Valerie Walker, Nisha Henley, Rashonda Henley of Charlotte, NC, Jamal Chambers, Ebonese Walker of Charlotte, NC, Jalen Walker and Janel Walker; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Myrtle Bell of Raleigh, NC; 3 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Sally Branch of Flint, Mrs. Sally Simmons of Newport News, VA, and Mrs. Augusta (Thomas) Cofield of Louisburg, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Mrs. Anna Dulaney and family, Mrs. Addie Hart, Mrs. Bertha Denson, Mrs. Bertha Chance and Mrs. Ora Carter. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Walker; 2 sisters, Mary Branch and Evelyn Smith; 3 brothers, Glen, Norman and Thomas Branch; 1 granddaughter and 2 great-grandchildren.
