EVANS, JR., Mr. Eugene J. - Age 38, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at Genesys Convalescent Center - Grand Blanc, MI. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Evans will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday. Mr. Eugene J. Evans Jr. was born March 9, 1977 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Eugene J. Evans Sr. and Elizabeth Evans. He gave his life to Christ and he gained his wings on May 25, 2015. Eugene was a graduate of Flint Central High School “Class of 1995” and he worked at General Motors Metal Fab. In May of 2010, he united in marriage with Timika Evans. He loved sports, vacations, spending time with family, and working. Mr. Eugene J. Evan Jr. leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Timika Evans; son, Eugene J. Evans III; 2 step-children, Keith Cummings, and Masharie Wallace; grandchild, Val’ente Burnes; 2 sisters, Saundra A. Thedford, and Sheila Wade-Dunn; 4 brothers, Larry Patrick, Willie Wilbanks, George Price, and Rashad Jackson; 3 nieces, Jamye Wade, Aun’Janae Wilbanks, and Taylor Price; 4 nephews, Michael Smith, Quincy Dunn Jr., Tyler Price, and Larry Patrick Jr.; 4 aunts, Virginia Runicki, Margaret Robinson, Patricia Rheaves, and Irish Tipton; 4 uncles, Jimmie (Carol) Wade, McKinley (Leontine) Tipton, Robert Tipton, and Leaon (Lillie) Wade; mother-in-law, Etica Buyck, and Jeffrey (Juanell) Buyck; 2 sisters-in-law, Julisa Buyck, and Cassandra Hureta; 3 brothers-in-law, Eric Buyck, Damon Buyck, and Damarcus Buyck; a host of other relatives and friends including special cousins, Jerrick Tipton, Ulrick (Cannon) Tipton, Jermaine Tipton, and Frank Robinson. Mr. Eugene J. Evans was preceded in death by his son; Shawn Gray Jr.; sister, Altha Eugenia Evans; grandmother, Lucille Tipton; 2 aunts, Annie Evans, and Mary Helen Wright; brother-in-law, Ronny Thedford.
