WALKER, Ms. Etoile Monique - Age 38, made her heavenly transition on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Harris Memorial Church Of God In Christ, 4317 Lippincott Blvd., Burton, MI. with Homegoing service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Supt. Eric C. Bogan Host Pastor, Pastor Edrice Lynn officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Ms. Walker will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. There will be a wake at Faith Gospel Temple Holiness Church, 1525 Kent St., from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday. Miss Etoile Monique “Cheloy Beauty Queen” Walker was born January 1, 1978 in Flint, MI to Supt. James E. Walker Jr and Tonya Blythe-Williams. Cheloy attended Flint Community Schools. She was a graduate of Northern High School class of 1996. Cheloy later furthered her education by attending Ross Medical Education Center where she obtained a certificate of completion in medical administration. Cheloy was employed by TRW Automotive in Howell, MI. She loved her pastor and her church and she was determined to stick by his side. At the age of only nine (9) years old she demonstrated this by writing him a letter letting him know that she would be his missionary when she grew up. Cheloy loved music and had a passion for singing from a very young age. Her taste in music was very eclectic. Cheloy was a free spirit who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She loved entertaining and spending time with her family and friends. She was a great cook and was often the host of many family dinners. Cheloy loved children, especially her children and she took pride in being a mother, aunt, and god-mother. Cheloy could always be seen wearing a beautiful smile that matched her beautiful spirit. Miss Etoile Monique (Cheloy) Walker leaves to cherish her sweet memory: 5 children; Michael Veal-Walker, NaKajah and Mariontae Veal; Da’Quavius and Don’Jhanaya Buck; father: Supt. James E Walker Jr.; mother: Tonya (Christopher) Blythe-Williams; 4 brothers: James III, Jashanti (Jermaine), JaTimothy and Jonathan Walker; 2 sisters: Keisha and Schkellia Walker; 7 nephews and 8 nieces; 5 uncles: Supt. Lissus (Margaret) Walker Sr., Juan Jose (Marsha) Blythe, Jewell and Demetrius Morris; 3 aunts: Miss’y Joyce (Supt. Kevelin B.) Jones, Sr., Miss’y Renee Blythe, Mrs. Shawn(Jerry) Brown; God-mother: Olivia Hailey; God-son: Harper Richardson. A host of cousins that she loved dearly and whom she considered to be more like her brothers and sisters, including special cousins: Tiffany Walker, Iola “Bookie” Jones, Loise “Micki” Richardson, Jose Blythe, Mia Frost, Nadia Kidd, Ebonie Jones, Kelvin “Scooter” and Andre Garner. A host of friends including special friends: Mecca Copeland, Candice Smith, Lashawnda Fields, Jacinda “Nikki” Frye, Keshia Williams and Donnell Buck. Miss Walker was proceeded in death by grandparents: Elder James E. and Iola Walker Sr., John Elbert and Billie Blythe, Beverly “Mommy” Spencer; uncle: Noah Richardson Sr; aunts: Miss’y Georgiella Jones and Miss’y Doris Ann Richardson; cousins: Alicea Jones, Krissi Jones, Samuel “Sammy G” Garner Sr. and Perry “PJ” White, and friend Michael Veal Sr.
