PUGH, Mrs. Estella - Age 67, passed away Friday, April 25, 2008 at Hurley Medical Center.Family hour 1:30PM Monday, May 5, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service at 2PM. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Monday. Mrs. Pugh will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10AM-8PM Sunday. Mrs. Estella L. Pugh was born July 21, 1940 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Alice Wiggins and Clarence Atkins. She attended Manassas High School in Memphis, TN. Estella was a member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church. She was employed at Genesee Packaging. Estella and James A. Pugh, Sr. was married for 43 years. Mrs. Pugh loved being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and watching TV. Mrs. Estella L. Pugh leaves to cherish her memories: 7 children, Belinda Blackwell (Kent) Davis, Kenneth (Deborah) Pugh, Teresa Pugh (Edward) Smith, Andre Morris, Melody Centers, all of Flint, Jernetha Fleming and Kenneth Denton of Memphis, TN; 22 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lou Alice (Melvin) Merrit and Gwendolyn Atkins-Hunter; brother, Everette (Angela) Atkins; 5 aunts, Bessie Glass of Ripley, TN, Mamie Wright of Gates, TN, Ida Lois Johnson and Marie Evans, both of Detroit, MI; 4 uncles, Arthur (Bernice) Atkins Sr. of Detroit, MI, John A. (Mary) Tuggle of Redford, MI and William (Nora) Atkins Jr. of Memphis, TN, and Walter Wiggins; 3 sisters-in-law, Leola (Ralph) Rhodes, Virginia Cooper and Helen Davis, all of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 brothers-in-law, Joe and Frank Pugh of Oklahoma City, OK; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Pugh was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Pugh, Sr.; son, James Pugh, Jr.; daughter, Valeria Pugh; grandchildren, Aariona Pugh and Rodney B. Fleming; mother, Alice Wiggins; father, Clarence (Catherine) Atkins; brother, Clarence Atkins, Jr.; and mother-in-law, Addie Harris; The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Mary Cracium, Kenneth Prevo, Kent Davis, Hurley Medical Center staff, McLaren Medical staff, and Advanced Professional H.H.C.
