LYLE, Ms. Earnestine Yvette (Loar) - age 54, lived her life to the fullest, until she departed this life, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m. Pastor Morris A. Collins, Sr., officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Ms. Loar will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2-8 p.m. Friday. Ms. Ernestine Yvette (Lyle) Loar was born January 27, 1959 in Flint, Michigan. She was the oldest child and only daughter to Marcellus and Dorothy Lyle. Ernestine was a resident of Flint for 54 years. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. Ernestine graduated from Beecher High School, “Class of 1976.” She retired from General Motors Corporation as a Jurman Tulan Dye Maker. Her hobbies were dancing and she loved to eat tacos! The last interest Ms. Lyle had was to eat chips and drink pop with her first grandchild. She was a very amibitious, kind hearted, and loving mother. Ernestine was one of a kind. She leaves to mourn and cherish in loving memory: father, Marcellus Lyle Jr.; 2 children, PFC Tiara Y.A. Littlejohn of T. Bliss, TX and Jeru (Ashley) M. Lyle of Gastonia, NC; 1 grandchild, Payton C. Lyle of Gastonia, NC; father of her children, Rev. Jeffery Littlejohn; brother, Tour’e (Melody) Lyle Sr. of Grand Blanc, MI; 5 nieces, Tawanna Marshall, Shena Gibbs, Valencia Lyle and Kayla Lyle of Grand Blanc, MI and Kelsey (Brandon) Lyle-Strickland; 2 nephews, Tour’e Lyle Jr. of Oklahoma and Kenneth Lyle Jr. of Flint; 9 aunts, Shirley Talbert-Hill, Carolyn Sweeny, Marqurite Wright, and Pauline Lyle, all of Flint, Geraldine O’Toki of New Jersey, Emma Torrance and Ester Kirby of California, Celestine Roger and Helen Graves of WI; 5 uncles, Willie Barker III of Flint, Lanier Lyle of Jackson, MS, Harold (Brenda) Lyle of Atlanta, GA, Carl English and Charles Young of Flint; a host of cousins. Ms. Lyle was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy A. Lyle (Barker); grandparents, Willie and Ruth Barker, Marcellus Lyle Sr. and Ernestine P. Lyle; brother, Sgt. Kenneth G. Lyle; uncles, Mitchell Lyle and Michael Lyle; aunt, Dorothy J. Lyle. The family would like to express a special thanks to Mrs. Shirley Hill, Mrs. Marqurite Wright, Mrs. Jefferlene Rumhp, Mrs. Louise Bingham, Cathy Flectcher, Angelia Collins, Connie Richardson, and all friends and family for everlasting love and kindness.
