Mr. Enoch Evans Sr.

EVANS, Mr. Enoch, Sr., - Age 87, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Parkview Hospital Randallia Campus in Fort Wayne. Two days later his wife, EVANS, MRS. JETTIE MAE, age 83 passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Parkview Hospital Randailia Campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Family hour for both 10:00 am on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Metropolitan Baptist Tabernacle Church, 930 E. Myrtle Ave., Flint, MI 48505 with funeral service commencing at 11:00 am. Dr. Herbert Miller II, Pastor officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G4413 Flushing Road, Flint, MI 48504. Family, friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church at 10:00 am Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Enoch & Jettie Mae Evans will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm (family will be present from 4:00 - 6:00 pm), Friday, August 23, 2019. Mr. Enoch Evans Sr. was born April 24, 1932 in West Point, Mississippi the son of Spurgeon and Sadie Evans. Mrs. Jettie Mae Evans was born March 21, 1936 in Coffeeville, Mississippi the daughter of Jimmy and Gertrude Diltz. Both accepted Christ at an early age. They leave to cherish their memory: 4 sons, Enoch (Traci) Evans, Larry (Cynthia) Evans, Stacy (Shana) Evans, Kenneth (Jackie) Richard: 4 daughters, Mary Ann Powell, Beverly Evans, Cheryl Evans and Darnita Evans: grandchildren, Gene Jr., Mario, Tasha, Enoch III, Terry Sr., Boyce, Montrel, Cordon, Lemarr, Alexis, Jayden, Dakota, Andre, Andrea, Chad-Elizabeth, Kenneth Jr., Keanna, Kiara, and Devon: 32 (with a +1 due to arrive in November) great grandchildren including Darius, Tiara and Tamyra (it was a grand day when my namesake, Enoch IV was born): 2 great great grandchildren: Children of our heart Gregory Diltz, Katherine Evans and LaTonya Porter. Our siblings/in-laws: Dorothy Franklin, Doris Stevens, Arteria (Lincoln) Swope, Jessie (Zonovia) Evans, Irma (Joe) Jackson-Johnson, Beulah Williams, Iola Weatherly, Julia (Alex) Golden, Deloris Davis, Carnell Evans, Samuel (Sandra) Evans, Stanley (Kajuan) Evans and Maggie Cobbs: sons-in-law, Terry Walker and Leonard Copeland: life-long family friend/son, Adolph Hubbard: special nieces/nephew, Minnie Ford, Jewel Washington, Patricia Henry, Jettie M. Thompson, Regina Smith and Stephen Davis and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We were proceeded in death by our son, Gene Diltz Sr., parents Spurgeon and Sadie Evans and Jimmy and Gertrude Diltz.
