Mrs. Emma Lue Weaver

WEAVER, Mrs. Emma Lue - age 60, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Mrs. Weaver will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Emma Lue Weaver was born December 21, 1953 in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of James and Bertha (Jordan) Bartee, Sr. She graduated from Muskegon schools and was a member of Bethesda Temple Church. Emma was self-employed and enjoyed sewing, puzzles, reading the Bible, walking and dancing. She also enjoyed teaching, cooking, watching television and singing. Emma was so full of life and had a heart so big that she welcomed everyone into her home. Mrs. Emma L. Weaver leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Early Weaver of Grand Rapids, MI; 6 children, Sabrina, Roger, Sheila, Roosevelt and Shajuana Bartee, Earline (Calvin) Miller, Cassandra, Dauwn Weaver and Shavonna Randall; 24 grandchildren, Sharell, Keosha, Jermain, Rogerick, Roger, Latrice, Veondre, Tanjunika, Anquanika, Tatyana, Travontae and Jashaun Bartee, Terry, Shukur, Shaterria and Taonta Brown, Bill Fisher, Calvin Miller, Ty’reil, Tireona and Ty’Asia White; 13 great-grandchildren, Tyrell, Jermain, Lavonta, Kemaria, Ka’nijah, Ka’Niyah, Marquice and Sharquice Bartee, Ariana Cruz, Shalil Knapp, Robert and Rashaun Smith, Omunique Reed; 5 sisters, Ernestine and Bertha Bartee, Cynthia Dawson, Deloise Marting and Shatasha Jordan; 4 brothers, Clarence, Timothy and Perry Bartee, all of Muskegon, MI, Edward Bartee of Ohio; 22 nieces; 20 nephews; a host cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Linda Faye, Londrell Burks, Joseph Sprangins, Rashema Clegg, Jackie Thomas, Loise Matthews, Janet and Renardo Presswood. Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertha Bartee, Sr.; 2 sisters, Charlean and Tessie; 4 brothers, James Jr., Micheal, Clyde and John Bartee.
