FLEMING, Mrs. Emma Lee - Age 73, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11AM Monday, February 6, 2006 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 2120 N. Saginaw St., with funeral service commencing at 11:30AM. Pastor E.L. Girley, officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Monday. Mrs. Fleming will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10AM-8:00PM Sunday. Mrs. Emma Lee Fleming was born on July 28, 1932 in Lugoff, South Carolina, the daughter of Mr. Willie Britt and Mrs. Sallie (Wheeler) Brown. Emma received 12 years of education in the Kershaw County Public Schools District. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. Mrs. Fleming was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Ezeckiel Fleming in 1952, and relocated to Flint in 1954. She was employed with Flint Osteopathic Hospital for many years. Emma enjoyed watching Gospel programs and Wheel of Fortune, playing bingo, and going to the casino. Mrs. Emma Lee Fleming leaves to cherish her memory: 4 sons, Ezekiel Jr. and Costello both of Flint, Wilburn of Jackson, MI, Michael of Detroit; 4 daughters, Priscilla and Vickie, both of Flint, Stella of Cleveland, OH, Renee of Thompson Station, TN; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary R. Brown of Flint; daughters-in-law, Fleda Shaw Fleming of Inkster, MI, Merlene and Jerelyn Fleming, both of Flint, Lois Anderson of Jackson, MI; son-in-law, Ray Pitts; 4 brothers-in-law, Nathaniel, Robert, Andrew, and Charles, all of Flint; 4 sisters-in-law, Geraldine Hines of Stanford, CT, Peggy and Clara Fleming, Mamie Tucker of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special niece, Barbara Washington of Chicago, IL, special friends, Birdie Bray, Lillie Rose and Georgia Woodard, and the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church Family. Mrs. Emma Lee Fleming was preceded in death by her husband, Ezeckiel Fleming, Sr.; son, Calvin; parents, Willie and Sallie Brown; brothers, Thomas, Issac and Sanders Brown; sisters, Ada Brown, Sarah Rivera, Thomasina Drummer, Mattie Lyles and Rebecca Swinton.
