Elouise Mason

MASON, Ms. Elouise - Age 63, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005 at her residence. Family hour 11AM Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Restoration Outreach Center, G-3401 Emerson St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 12Noon. Pastor Calvin Martin officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11AM Saturday. Ms. Mason will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday, February 25, 2005. Ms. Elouise Mason was born May 12, 1941 in Osceola, Arkansas, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Jones. Elouise Mason a resident of Flint, Mi. Ms. Mason served faithfully under the leadership of the late Rev. James Thomas at Zion Hill Bible Church, which is currently Restoration Outreach Center where Calvin R. Martin is Pastor. Ms. Mason graduated from a Community College in Flint, MI with a degree in banking and finance. She was employed with Michigan National Bank where she was the first black supervisor among the local branch in the early 1960's. Her hobbies included crocheting, pottery, and arts and crafts. She also enjoyed cooking, listening to music and spending time with her family, especially new great granddaughter, Sincere. Ms. Mason was a very warm, funny, and giving person. She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Katrina (James) Cobb and LaSonya Mason both of Flint, MI. two grandchildren James and Damario Mason, 1 great granddaughter Sincere Mason. Uncles Walter Jefferson of Flint, MI and Albert (Lois) Jefferson of Osceola, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends including special cousins Tony Crawford and special friends Lela Lovelace, Erma Jean Moore and residents of Simmons Square Apts. Special grandchildren Angel and Kyshone Hubbard. Ms. Mason was preceded in death by her parents; James and Elizabeth Jones; grandmother; Elouise Jefferson; and father of her children; Mack Mason. The family wishes to express special thanks to Simmons Square residents, Reaching For the Stars staff, Family Service Agency, Minister Jarvis Richardson, Redeemed Apostolic Church, and Restoration Outreach Center.
