JOHNSON, Mrs. Elizabeth "Aunt Fat T" - Age 82, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, MI. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, January 27, 2007 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Rev. George Stapleton officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Saturday. Mrs. Johnson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Although "Aunt Fat T" is not physically with us, her spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Mrs. Elizabeth "Aunt Fat T" Johnson was born August 29, 1924 in Millington, Tennessee, the youngest child of Willie and Eliza (White) Williams. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Christian Love Faith Center. While she was not always physically able to attend church services, she read her Bible and studied the Word every day. "Aunt Fat T" had a great love for people both young and old and enjoyed taking care of others even when she needed someone to take care of her. She had a great love for cooking collard greens, candied yams, corn bread, and chitterlings and took pride in maintaining her backyard garden on East Van Wagenor. "Aunt Fat T" was a people person and loved everyone, especially all of her nieces and nephews. "Aunt Fat T" leaves to celebrate her homegoing: 9 nieces and nephews, Jeanetta McQueary of Flint, Eddie Earl Allen, Robert Ray Bryant of Memphis, TN, Steven Williams of Los Angeles, CA, Barbara (Pastor George) Stapelton of Flint, Maurice Blake of Grovetown, GA, Everett (Darlene) Blake of Martinez, GA, Menda Mitchell of Charlotte, NC, and Janet (Richard) Chenault of Ann Arbor, MI; 27 great-nieces and nephews; 24 great-great-nieces and nephews; a host of friends including Lilllie Mae Massie and Ken Jones. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Eliza Williams; siblings, Leslie Williams, Catherine Haskins, Beatrice Blades, Inez W. Blake, Annie Mae Washington, and Willie James Williams; niece, Kimaling Jan Blake; great-nephew, Jeffrey McQueary; great-niece, Jackie McQueary.
