Mrs. Elizabeth "Ann" Harris

HARRIS, Mrs. Elizabeth "Ann" - Age 70, departed this life on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at McLaren – Flint. We must all bow to the “will of our Heavenly Father”. Family hour 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., with home-going service commencing at 12 p.m. Elder Patrick Sanders, Sr. officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Harris will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. with family present from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Elizabeth “Ann” Harris was born November 18, 1944 in Lagrange, Georgia to the late Robert L. Moss and Lucinda B. Moss. She came to Flint in 1963 after graduating from Warren G. Harding High School. “Ann” came to Flint and met and married the love of her life, the late Clinton J. Harris, they married June 16, 1964 from this union three children were born. Ann was a lifelong member of New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church. She was employed by Delphi West, a division of General Motors, before retiring in 1998 and was a member of UAW Local #659. Ann departed this life on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at McLaren-Flint. We must all bow to the “Will of our Heavenly Father.” Ann was involved in so many organizations around the city of Flint. She was on the Genesee County Board of Canvas (2) terms, Philadelphia Ministries, Sunday School Teacher for many years, Executive Board Victorious Christian Women. Ann also worked with the willing workers at church. She was also a Certified Wedding Specialist, “Wedding Gracefully Blessed” from February 2001 to the time of her death. Ann was an Eastern Star Elnora Townsend Chapter #191 and so many more. She was furthering her education even at the age of 68 to the time of her death, attending U of M Flint and University of Phoenix pursing her Master Degree. Mrs. Elizabeth “Ann” Harris leaves in God’s Care to cherish her memory and continue on in this life: caring and devoted children; son, Mario (Sabrina) Harris, Sr.; 2 daughters, Linda (Terry) Edwards and Mandy Harris; step daughter, Pya Flanagan; 9 grandchildren, SaQuoya, Terrance, Mario II, Tyler, Keyana, T.J., Khydea, Tahj, Kezia, all of Flint; 2 great-grandchildren, Sakiyra and Marrio Harris III; sister, Carrie Allen of Flint; 3 brothers-in-law, Arthur (Christine) Chambers of Phoenix City, AL, Hillard (Mary) Harris of Detroit, MI and Paul (Ozzie) Harris; 3 sisters-in-law, JoAnn and Carla Harris of Flint and Annie May (Raymond) Frazier of Hurtsboro, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, special friends and god daughters, Eria Warren of Accokeek, MD and Dana Dilworth-Bush; god sons, Andre Hill and Brandon Adam. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clinton J. Harris; parents; sister, Brenda F. Moss; 3 brothers, Leon Brown, Arthur Moss and Fredrick D. Moss; 4 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to Lonnie Jackson who was there when she needed him, Eld. Patrick Sanders and the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist family, Minister Willie Mae Bacon, Minister Sara Balrey, Mava Perkins, all of Victorious Christian Women, Ridgeway Street and Timberlane Dr. families and McLaren-Flint ICU.
