CAERY, Ms. Edith Marie - Age 63, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, October 25, 2019 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Friends and family will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Friday. Ms. Caery will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday. Ms. Edith Marie Caery was born February 20, 1956 in Flint, Michigan. The daughter of William and Genevieve Caery. Edith, affectionately known as “Edie” by all those who love her, attended Flushing Schools and later obtained her nursing assistant certificate from Ross Medical School. She was a dedicated employee at Landaal Packaging, where she was employed for over a decade. Edie enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud, playing spades and spending time with family. The Christmas season was the highlight of her year and decorating trees were her favorite. Edie was also a lover of all things purple. Ms. Edith Marie Caery leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Tomasha Ford; two sons, Michael (Alicia) Caery, all of Flint, MI and Brian King of Tulsa, OK; step-children, Cheryl (Larry) Farmer and Sylvester (Tamiko) Ford, both of Flint and Eric (Lindsay) Ford of Grand Blanc, MI, Derek Ford of Charlotte, NC, Veronica (Dwayne) Turner of Kansas City, MO and Charlotte Ford of Alexandria, LA; grandchildren, I’yanna, Ivion, Michael Jr., TaQuaysha, Nadia, Bryant, Ericka, Donovan, Ebony, Kenneth, Sylvester III, Syleesa, Kutiyana, Quamesia, Kevin Jr., Hailey, Colton, Cameron and Morgan; several great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; sisters, Sharon (George) Kelly and Patricia Caery, all of Flint; nieces, Patricia James of Grand Blanc, MI and Sherry (Chad) Yorks of Burton, MI; nephews, Danny and George (Bambi) Kelly Jr. of Davison, MI. Wayne James Jr. of Flint and Billy Caery of Mt. Morris, MI; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Tina, Josephine, Sharon and Debbie. Ms. Caery was preceded in death by her parents, William and Genevieve Caery; long-time partner, Sylvester Ford Sr.; and step-son, Kevin Ford Sr.
