HILL, Mr. Eddie - Age 75, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 10AM Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM, Eld. James Washington officiating. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10AM Wednesday. Mr. Hill will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 9AM-8PM Tuesday. Mr. Eddie Lee Hill was born December 19, 1933 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Eugene and Marion Hill. After graduating from high school, Eddie enlisted in the United States Army, stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas and served in the Korean Conflict as a Communication Officer. After being Honorably Discharged he was employed for Buick a division of General Motors, retiring after 45 years of service. Eddie enjoyed fishing repairing electronics and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory: loving, caring wife of 45 years, Dorothy (Ruffin) Hill; 2 daughters, Jacqueline Cole of Flushing, MI and Lori Hill; son, Reginald Cole, both of Flint; 11 grandchildren; sister, Rachel (Rufus) Washington of Mt. Morris, MI; brother, James (Linda) Hill of Flint; 5 sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Walter) Hill, Martha Moore, Diane Crain, all of Flint, Creamella (Rocky) Mayfield and Juanita Kumaraswamy, all of Flushing, MI; 2 brothers-in-law, Earl Ruffin, Jr. of Flushing, MI and special brother-in-law, Claudell Ruffin of Mt. Morris, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Kemo Parks, Sr., Wilma and Joe Ford, Dr. Evelyn Alumit, Joyce and Joe Przyjocki. Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Marion Hill; grandson, Dakari Cole; brothers, Walter and Willie Hill; sister, Lillian Owens; father and mother-in-law, Earl and Alma Ruffin. The family would like to express special thanks to Rocky and Creamella Mayfield, Dr. R. Schumacher, Tender Loving Care, and the E.R. staff of McLaren Regional Medical Center.
