BOOTH, Ms. Ebony Antoinette - Age 33, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, June 28, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Family and friends will assemble at the Chapel 1:30 PM Friday. Ms. Booth will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM. Ebony was born in Valhalla, New York on December 5, 1990 to Sidney Booth and Hope Smith. She attended Dukette Catholic School and graduating from Flushing High School where she played Powder Puff Football. Due to her allergies, she was unable to pursue her love of sports and wanted to be a participant in some of everything. She graduated from Eastern University of Ann Arbor with an Associate Degree while working in the field of Customer Service for several Fortune 500 Hotel chains and handicapped facilities. Ebony held a host of employments in her career but her true passion was working with the community, young and old. During the pandemic she continued to work servicing seniors in need of groceries and/or home delivery services. After the pandemic she began teaching drivers education and she later became a team player at Stemnetics, (an after school program for children 5 to 14). Ebony always had a smile on her face and greeted you with the love and warmth of a hug. Even though her allergies prevented her from being an owner, Ebony had a great love for animals (especially dogs). Her greatest challenge was reaching into the warmth of her heart and inviting you in to find the good within you. No matter what you did she accepted you for who you were at all times. She loved teaching. Ebony loved…everyone unconditionally. She loved dancing and being silly. Ebony loved being with her family cooking and helping where she could. She had a great eye and mind for working with crafts and computer projects. Just tell her what you wanted, move out her way and…It Was Done. Ebony did catering to special events and weddings for her friends at no cost. She also delivered groceries to friends with limited mobility in Detroit. As much as she enjoyed cooking, she wasn’t gonna touch NOOO meat! Who can cook without touching the meat! As a baby Ebony was christened at Dozier CME Church under the Pastoral Leadership of Rev. Littlejohn. Her love for Christ and wanting to know more about Him never stopped. Ebony was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Pearl and Aretha Smith; grandparents, Miles and Irene Booth, Joyce Peek and James Hobbs II; aunts, Shelia Smith and Pam Stevens; great-aunt, Carol Smith; uncles, Chester (Aunt Pat) Booth, Jay Phillip Palmer and John Smith; god-brother, Desmond Stuckey. Ebony Antoinette Booth leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Sidney Booth and Hope Smith; sister, Sydney Booth; adopted sisters, Tiffany Davis and Kandice Martin; god-parents, Valerie Jackson, Tony Jackson and Clifford (Angelnetta) Hooker; god-brother, Kavon Martin; god-sister, Danisha Gunter; aunts.
