WILLIAMS, Mr. Earl Edward - Age 74, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center with his family by his side. A service celebrating his life will take place at 12Noon Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at New Beginnings Ministries, G-5227 Beecher Rd., with funeral service commencing at 1PM. Apostle Clarence Lewis, officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 12Noon Tuesday. Mr. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday. Mr. Earl Edward Williams was born January 14, 1932 in Vaiden, Mississippi, the son of Earlene and Annie Mae Williams. Earl accepted Christ at an early age. He retired from Inland Steel Mill in East Chicago, IN, with 36 years of service. He was an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Korean Conflict. Earl was loved by many people and touched many lives. His wisdom and sense of humor was to be admired. He was a good father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Earl loved his family deeply and would do anything for them. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Mr. Earl Edward Williams leaves to cherish his memory: mother of his children, Mary Williams of Mt. Morris, MI; 3 sons, Anthony (Pamela) Harris of Woodstock, GA, Clyde (Dorothy) Williams, Marion Trent (Tuwanna) Williams; 3 daughters, Gail Elaine (Ralph) Lusane, Sharon (Sherrod) Williams, Brenda Pearl (Jerome) Williams, all of Flint; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Ethelean Woods of Clearlake, CA; brother, Adell (Dean) Williams of Gary, IN; 5 brothers-in-law; 5 sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special cousins, Ora Kennedy, Rick Williams and William Greer, who nicknamed Earl "The Kid"; special friends, Herman and Voncile LuSane, Karen and Collin Greene and family. Mr. Earl Edward Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Earlene and Annie Mae Williams; 3 brothers, Ozell, Les and Howard; 2 sisters, Louise and Dorothy; best friend and cousin, Willie Woods. The family would like to express special thanks to the New Beginnings Ministries Family, Pastors and the Davita Dialysis Center.
