MARSH, Mr. Earl Eleazer - Age 79, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Agape Faith Fellowship, 8121 Dixie Hwy, Birch Run, MI., with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM Rev Joseph Rodriguez officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Friday. Mr. Marsh will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12:00 PM -8:00 Pm Friday. On August 1, 2017, Mr. Earl Eleazer Marsh transitioned to join his Creator. Earl Marsh was born on April 9, 1938 in Indianola, Mississippi to the union of Elder Talcum and Charlotte Marsh. He was the fifth child of twelve. Since the fifties, Mr. Marsh has been a resident of the Flint, Michigan area. He married his wife, Mrs. Annette Royal Marsh of fifty-seven years and they have five children, four daughters and one son from this union. Because Mr. Marsh valued education and learning so much, he completed his high school education from Mott Adult Education of Flint, MI. He was regarded as a self-taught man, but he wasn’t shy about enrolling in courses concerning various trades of interest. Mr. Earl Marsh was an industrious worker and gifted with several vocational talents and hobbies such as auto mechanics, body work, handyman, gardening, and a bee keeper. Mr. Marsh was often admired from various members of the community for his hard work ethic and his ability to manage his finances. As you well know Earl loved to work and if you stopped by he would often put you to work as well. Mr. Marsh retired from Flint Truck & Bus, a division of General Motors, after being employed there for 38 years. Additionally, Mr. Marsh served as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, Greeter and a graduate of Agape Faith Fellowship Training Center. For the last twenty plus years, he was an active member of the Agape Faith Fellowship in Birch Run, MI. Preceding his death are his parents, Talcum & Charlotte Marsh; sister, Ethel Lee Miller; and brother Talcum Marsh, Jr. Our dear loved one leaves us to cherish memories of him by his devoted wife, Annette Royal Marsh; his five children, Vernita, Marla, Cassandra (Rodney) Land, Elisa and Emanuel; three grandchildren, Malika Glover, Selena Land and Braylon Marsh; a loving & faithful son, Dudley Glover; his siblings: Samuel (Patricia) Marsh, Bertha Smith, George (Joyce), John (Bernice) Jean Seay, Alex, David (Betty), Lela Joyce Nixon, and Betty (Leslie) Williams; his stepmother, Eleanor Marsh and eleven stepsiblings and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family members, and friends.
