COHEN, Mr. Duquan Derrelle "Poon" - Age 37, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. Mr. Cohen will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Graveside service 12:00 PM Saturday, June 10, 2023, at River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd., Pastor Danny Green, officiating. Mr. Duquan Derrelle “Poon” Cohen was born December 5, 1985 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Sheila Williams and Isaac Cohen. Duquan graduated from Carmen Ainsworth High School. After high school, he attended ITT Technical School. He was a member of First Union Baptist Church. Duquan was very hardworking and was currently employed at Ground Effects LTD. He was previously employed at DL Enterprise, U-Haul, Michigan Cross Dock and YaYa’s Restaurant. He loved cars, shopping, grilling and spending time with his mother. Mr. Duquan Derrelle “Poon” Cohen leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Sheila Williams; 2 sisters, Mary Ann Cohen of Inglewood, CA and Margaret (Arthur) Adair of Townsend, DE; 3 brothers, Ronald Cohen of Carson, CA, Terry Cohen of Los Angeles, CA and Skyler Cohen of Las Vegas, NV; aunt, Pattie Sue Coker; 2 uncles, Sherman Williams of Flint, MI and Raymond (Michell) Williams of Swartz Creek, MI; great-aunts, Estella Gould, Gladys (Victor) Powell, Francis French, Victoria (Lawrence) Brooks, Jacqueline Poplar all of Flint, MI, Barbara French of Grand Blanc, MI and Vernell French of Houston, TX; great-uncles, Ervin French of Miami, FL, and Fred (Donna) Poplar of Flint; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special cousin, Jor’Dae Roland. Mr. Cohen was preceded in death by his father, Isaac Cohen; sister, Leatter Cohen; brother, Richard Cohen; grandparents, Argie and Joseph Williams, Grace and Fred Cohen; uncles, Joseph Williams, Rudolph Cohen; aunts, Eartha Dilworth, Joyce Williams and Betty Williams; several great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and friends.
