HOUSTON, Mr. DuJuan - Age 53, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Henry Ford-Genesys. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, November 15, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Elder Louis Roberson, oifficiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Friday. Mr. Houston will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Mr. DuJuan Houston was born March 27, 1971 in Flint, MI. The son of Charlene and Walter Houston. He was a resident of the City of Flint, also attended Triumph Ebenezer Ministries. DuJuan graduated from Flint Northern High School class of 1989, and was a proud Viking. Employment included driving buses for MTA, Mott Community College, Carman Ainsworth High School and The New Standard. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Playing poker and hanging with his friends. Juan loved to joke and make people laugh. He would open his home to anyone in need and would give you the shirt off his back with no questions asked. DuJuan was a very hard worker, and a long-time dialysis patient, although he spent a lot of time attending his dialysis treatments, he was able to attend work and spend time with his family and friends. Our father was a strong man, who never complained, he kept fighting!! Mr. DuJuan Houston leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Ty’Eisha and Karand Houston of Flint; son, Rameer Houston of Lansing, MI; Because of his love for family, he was a father figure to Ashantai Melton, Oaisha Louis, Steven Hudson, Troy and Chantale George; grandchildren, A’Layah Houston, Lauryn Houston-Bond, Raegan Parham and Cameron Bond, all of Flint. And was also pawpaw to Chutavion, Madison, McKenzie, Raumari, Avi, Troy Jr, Zameer, and La’Nyriyah; father, Walter (Lorna) Houston of Mississippi; grandmother, Birddean Garner-Walker of Flint; 1 brother, Quenton Houston of Roscommon, MI; step brother, Deshawn of Flint; step sister, Kiana Lee of Detroit, MI; 2 aunts, Maxine Ellison and Wilma Shine of Flint, MI; 1 uncle, Louis (Celeste) Roberson of Flint; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, including special cousins, Orlandis Ellison, Zonnie Cochran, NaChia Cochran, Sabrina Williams, Christopher Houston, Bennie Manns; special friends, Reggie Clemons, Mark Johnson, John Brown, Jeff Green and Adelaida Leaym. Mr. Houston was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Houston; son, Shatwan Houston; grandfather, Warner Houston; aunt, Carolyn Malloy; cousins, Kofi Mann and Jerrod Cohill.
