Dralecea Patterson

PATTERSON, Ms. Dralecea - Age 23, passed away Monday, September 26, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2011 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 1851 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Monday. Ms. Patterson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Ms. Dralecea Patterson was born September 10, 1988 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Monalisa Yvette Booth and Deron Efrem Patterson. Dralecea accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church, later becoming a member at Second Chance Missionary Baptist Church and finally House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated from Flint Northern High School "Class of 2006" and was currently attending classes at C. S. Mott College. Dralecea was a loving and kind young lady, with an outgoing, adventurous, generous spirit. She was a true songstress and musician; playing the clarinet and performing nationally. She was also a member of the Flint Community Schools’ Title One Choir, Flint Northern High School Marching Band, lettering all four years in high school. Dralecea was very well known for her beautiful voice, and spontaneous, intelligent, gifted sense of music in general, which will be truly missed by all who have witnessed and been touched by this blessing. She leaves to cherish her memory: father, Mr. Deron Patterson; father of her siblings, Mr. Maurice Dantzler; sister, Destiny Dantzler; brother, Darrell Dantzler; grandmothers, Mrs. Jannie Patterson and Mrs. C.L. Booth; great-grandfather, Mr. Willie Booth; all of Flint; 4 aunts, Ms. Monica Patterson of Dallas, TX; Mrs. Janet (Duncan) Hamilton, Ms. Joyce, and Ms. Juan ‘Co’ Booth all of Flint, 4 uncles, Mr. Stephen L. Patterson of Lansing, MI., Mr. Raheem Abdul Shabazz, Mr. Tyrone (Tiffany) Booth and Mr. Jerielle (Deneika) Booth, all of Flint; a host of many relatives and friends including special aunt Ms. Carlene Boone; best friend Ms. Brittany Clark; special cousins, Ms. Shaquandra Hamilton, Ms. Tyqueesha Broadway, Ms. Brooklyn Patterson and Mr. Christopher Patterson. Ms. Patterson was preceded in death by her mother, Ms. Monalisa Yvette Booth; grandfathers, Mr. Gene McNeal Patterson Sr., Mr. Jerry Lee Booth, Sr.; and uncle, Mr. Gene McNeal Patterson Jr.
