RUMFELT PANESA, Mrs. Dorothy "Leillani" Villarosa - Age 53, passed away Sunday February, 21, 2010 at her residence due to cancer. Family hour 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2 p.m. Interment Richfield Union Cemetery. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Rumfelt Panesa will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2-6 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Dorothy “Leillani” Villarosa Rumfelt Panesa was born February 6, 1957 in Davao City, Philippines, daughter of Mercedes and Virgil Rumfelt. Dorothy was a resident of Flint. She was a strong Christian, who loved meeting new people, making new friends and was always kind to everyone she met. Dorothy also loved gardening, making jewelry and giving nicknames to people she knew. She will be remebered for always having a smile on her face and lighting any room. She leaves to cherish her memory: 3 daughters, Naomi Villaranda of Clio, MI, Grace (James) Wong of El Cajon, CA and Erica Garber of Flushing, MI; 2 sons, Dwayne Rumfelt of Watertown, NY and Timothy Garber, Jr., of Flint; grandchildren, Aria Irene Gerics and Jorlan Napoleon Rumfelt; parents, Mercedes and Virgil Rumfelt; 3 sisters, Lucinda Santos, Regina Leonardo and Mary Elaine (Razma) Rumfelt; 5 brothers, Joseph, Larry, Authur, Jamal and Issah Rumfelt; 3 nieces, Maricel Silsbee, Jessica and Vanessa Hall; 4 nephews, Ryan, Sean, Nic and Pastor Chris Rumfelt; aunt, Leceria Villarosa Baloyo; cousins, Baloyo family of Bacolod City, Philippines; brother-in-law, Ireneo Santos of Las Vegas, NV; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Nanay Hilda, the Logie family, Dale Venable, Gerics family, Napoleon Dobbins and family, Gary Proffett, Austria and Goranson families. Mrs. Rumfelt Panesa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruperto and Custodia Villarosa and grandmother and grandfather, Rumfelt. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Avalon Hospice for taking great care of her.
