MABRY, Mrs. Dorothy G. - Age 80, passed away Monday, August 9, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m., Eld. Gregory W. Tucker officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Mabry will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Dorothy Gene Mabry was born June 26, 1930 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of William Middleton and Louise Douglas. Dorothy attended Flint Central High School. She worked as a Housekeeper at Flint Osteopathic Hospital for 19 years. Dorothy enjoyed cleaning, planting and love being with family especially her grandchildren. She loved to shopping and giving surprised gifts. Dorothy was generous to everyone she knew, but most of all she loved the Lord Jesus Christ and everything he stood for. Mrs. Dorothy G. Mabry leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Moses G. Mabry; 5 sons, Elder Gregory W. Tucker, Andre’ P. (Aubray) Mabry, Lance S. (Rita) Mabry, Elder Trevor E. (Debra) Mabry and Todd Q. (Shyvonne) Mabry; stepson, Anthony Mabry; 22 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; 3 sisters-in-law, Barbara Robinson, Constance (McKinley) Wilkes and Andrea Knight; brother-in-law, Marvin (Yvonne) Mabry; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Neil Bennett and Pearl Johnson. Mrs. Mabry was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Jones; parents, William Middleton and Louise Douglas; brother, James Middleton; and godson, Berry Singleton. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Tommy Stevens, ICU Unit Staff at Hurley Medical Center, Staff at Kith Haven Nursing Home, the Rankin Street residents and special, special thanks to granddaughter, Mia (Kevin) Smith, the Byrd family, Miss Mildred Walton, Ms. Dorothy Steward and Bishop Roger L.
