LARRY, Mrs. Dorothy - Age 49, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11 a.m. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Larry will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday. Ms. Dorothy Larry was born June 13, 1960 in Texarkana, Arkansas, the daughter of Lee Thomas and Maetta Larry. Dorothy was a resident of Flint. She was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School and Baker Junior College with an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Dorothy worked for Kith Haven for 22 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, shopping and spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, special friends and family. Ms. Dorothy Larry leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Nikkia Larry (Damaris Jourdan); father of her daughter, Donald Bell; grandchildren, Nikyah, Nikkaila and Damaris Jourdan; sister, Lurlene (Curtis) Brown and Wanda Larry-Vaughn; brothers, Ivory (Alice) Larry of Huntsville, TX, James (Renee’) Larry, Kevin (Winfred) Larry, Christopher M. Larry, all of Flint and Bernard T. (Rashonda) Larry of Jonesboro, GA; nieces, Laiondre’ Larry (Ira D.) of Ann Arbor, MI, Matoya King (Courtney), ShaWanda (Kevin) Washington, Shaneah Larry, all of Flint, Kesha of Georgia and Nika Cuba of Texas; nephews, Donte’ (Crystal) Larry, Karon and Quinton Larry, all of Flint, Jerrod Vaughn of Orange Park, FL, Bobby Cuba of Grand Rapids, MI and Troy of Huntsville, TX; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Ms. Larry was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Mildred Larry. The family would like to express special thanks to Josephine Thornton, Mary Shields, Leslie Tipton, the staffs of Kith Haven and Hurley 4th floor ICU, the Bell, Jourdan, Pope, Cuba and Goodlow families, Levi Vaughn, ShaWanda Washington, Niyonaka Cuba and Talina Williams.
