Mrs. Dorothy Holliday

HOLLIDAY, Mrs. Dorothy - Age 83, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at Heartland Health Care Center-Fostrian. Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Rev. Larry Fields, officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery, 5710 North Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Funeral Home, 10:00 AM Wednesday. Mrs. Holliday will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Tuesday. Mrs. Dorothy Marie Holliday was born August 12, 1938 in Turners, Arkansas, the daughter of Hurscey Miller and Essie Lee Robinson. Dorothy was a resident of Flint, Michigan. She was a member of El-Bethel Evangelistic Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board. Dorothy attended school in Turners, AR. She loved spending time with family and friends, shopping cooking and fishing. Mrs. Dorothy Marie Holliday leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters and 4 sons, David Lee (Ruby) Moore, Larry (Teresa) Fields, Cornelius Thomas, Rachel (David) Fulton, all of Flint, Joan Holmes of Saginaw, MI and James Miller of Temple, TX; step-daughter, Tanya Holliday; grandchildren, Willie Jr. Julius, Derrick, Cornelius Jr., Corneishia, Jakara, Precious, Jamiemay, Nicole, Helen, Angela, Stephon, Karmaine, James Jr., Sharmaine, Shaundrika, Lil Larry, Larry “Bookie”, Larry “Stank”, Larry “Bobo”, Cheryle, Scheryle, Schery, Brandon and Ashley; a host of great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Bradley of Flint; 3 nieces, Melinda Miller, Kettisha Bradley and Stephanie Bradley; nephew, Danny Bradley; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Willie Holmes, Martha Dukes, Sharon Fields, Isaiah Harper and Mildred Conley. Mrs. Holliday was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery Holliday; grandchildren, Shameya Fields, Stacey Moore, Michael Moore and Lashandria Moore; mother, Essie Lee Robinson; and father, Hurscey Miller.
