LYLE, Mrs. Dorothy Ann (Barker) - Age 65, lived her life to the fullest, until she departed this life Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Brian's House in Davison, MI. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 1215 E. Downey Ave., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor Morris Collins, Officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Saturday. Mrs. Lyle will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Friday. Mrs. Dorothy Ann (Barker) Lyle, affectionately known as "D.L." was born August 3, 1941 in Selma, Alabama. She was the second oldest daughter to Willie and Ruth L. Barker. She graduated from Clio High School in 1958 then later retired from General Motors Corporation. Dorothy had been a resident of Flint for over 50 years. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Flint. Dorothy leaves to mourn and cherish in loving memory: husband, Marcellus Lyle, Jr., and from this union, 3 children, Ernestine Y. Lyle of Flint, Toure (Melody) Lyle, Sr. of Grand Blanc, MI; 9 grandchildren, Tawanna Marshall, Toure (Natasha) Lyle, Jr., Shena Gibbs, Kenneth G. Lyle, Jr., Valencia Lyle, Kelsey Lyle, Kayla Lyle, Tiara Littlejohn, and Jeru Lyle; 4 sisters, Shirley Hill, Carolyn Sweeny both of Flint, Geraldine O'Toki of NJ, Aurelia (Andrew) Carson of CA; brother, Willie Barker; mother-in-law, Ernestine Parroll Lyle; and sisters-in-law, Marqurite (Clifton) Wright, Pauline Lyle, all of Flint, Emma Torrance and Ester Kirby, both of CA, Celestine (Medford) Roger, Helene (John) Graves, all of WI; brothers-in-law, Charles Young, Michael Lyle, both of Flint, Lanier Lyle of MS, Harold Lyle of GA; aunts, Rev. and Mrs. Luretha and Otha Leverette of FL; uncles, Carl English of Flint, Leo Barker of Pensacola, FL; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives who loved her. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Sgt. Kenneth G. Lyle; parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Willie and Ruth Barker; sister, Mattie L. Young; father-in-law, Marcellus Lyle, Sr.; brother-in-law, Mitchell Lyle; sister-in-law, Dorothy Jean Lyle. The Lyle family appreciates the support of Rev. Morris Collins, and Mt.
