COBBIN, Ms. Doris Regena - Age 81, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at WellBridge of Grand Blanc. Public Viewing Monday, August 5, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. Ms. Cobbin will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM Monday with family present from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM to receive friends. A Memorial service will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness 1805 Lapeer Road, Flint, Michigan, 48503. Ms. Doris Regena Cobbin was born September 18, 1942 in Marvell, Arkansas, the second child to Ozra and Wyomia Cobbin. Doris moved to Flint, Michigan when she was 14 years old. She received her education through the Flint Community School System, graduating from Flint Northern High School. Doris retired from Buick Motor Company, a division of General Motors Corporation with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Kearsley Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 37 years. Doris enjoyed talking to others about the Bible. She also loved her family and was always willing to help those in need. Doris enjoyed cooking and making dressing was her specialty. Doris loved getting her nails done, working on Word Searches, and shopping. Often Doris, Lyndia and her mother would go shopping and be gone all day. She spared no expense during her shopping trips. One of Doris’ favorite shopping spots was Lane Bryant. They knew her personally and would call when there was a sale. She gave everyone a nickname that was endearing and based on her unique sense of humor. No one could tell a story like Doris; she kept other laughing while she maintained a straight face. To know her was to love her. Ms. Doris Regena Cobbin leaves to cherish her memory: children, Anthony (Ronda) Cobbin of Louisville, KY and Deirdre (Oscar) Roberts of Ypsilanti, MI; siblings, brother-in-law, Johnny Coley, Willie (Rene), Floyd (Willie), Carolyn (Coleman) Brown, Michael (Patty), all of Flint, MI; a host of nieces and nephews including special niece, Robyn Hall; and many other beloved relatives, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
