HALFORD, Mr. Donald (Dover) - Age 33, slept into eternity, Friday, November 21, 2014 at his residence. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2014 at Refuge Temple Church of Flint, 4400 W. Carpenter Rd., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Pastor Seon Thompson, Host Pastor, Pastor Matthew Jackson officiating. Interment Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, G-9506 N. Dort Hwy. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 a.m. Friday. Mr. Halford will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Mr. Donald (Dover) Halford “Donnie” was born November 8, 1981 in Flint, Michigan to Betty Turner and Donald Dover. “Donnie” matriculated at Powers High School, Flint Michigan, and continued to pursue studies at Mott Community College. He held various jobs however he was most proud of his work as a Nursing Assistant and service to his patients. “Donnie” loved being around family and friends. He was a self-proclaimed comedian and enjoyed making others laugh. He was a mama’s boy and would often say, “Mama, you my baby!” “Donnie loved dressing in expensive clothes and had a passion for cars. "Donnie" leaves to cherish his memory: two children; son, Demani (Anita) Moore; daughter, Lydia Dover (Kelli Crespo); parents; mother, Betty (Marvin) Turner and father, Donald (Malakiah) Dover; grandmother, Dorothy Flippin; grandfather, Creadell McDonald; siblings; two sisters, Dr. Brittne Halford and Taryn Dover; four brothers, Rodney Halford, Marvin Turner, Dillon Dover and Divonte Dover; three aunts, Rose McDonald, Renee (Anthony) Watson of Chicago, Il., Jennifer (William) Spriggs of Great Falls, VA; five uncles, Ronald (Crystal) Halford of Tulsa OK., James (Lillie) Dover III, Reginald (Shirley) Halford, Randy Halford, all of Chicago, Il., and Michael McDonald; childhood friend, Leon Lawson; and a host of other relatives and loving family and friends. Mr. Halford was preceded in death by his grandparents, Christena Halford, Creatie Halford,, James T. Dover Jr., and Richlean McDonald; great-grandparents, Lucille Denson, Lucy Linsy, John Linsy and James York; and aunt, Valerie Harris.
