Mr. Don Maurice Miller

MILLER, Mr. Don Maurice - age 70, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd. with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Miller will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Don Maurice Miller was born on July 3, 1944 in Flint, Michigan, the son of ALC and Rosalee (Johnson) Miller. Don was a lifelong resident of Flint, MI and went to Flint Public Schools. he was a was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army and Vietnam Veteran; Don was later Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army. Don worked for General Motors at several manufaturing plants and Genesee County Community Action Resource Department (GCCARD). His hobbies included cooking and reading. Mr. Don Maurice Miller leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Chiffon (Clarence) Wilson; 4 grandchildren, Keoshee Flynn, Steven Connor, and Jaron Wilson, all of Flint and Clarence Wilson, Jr., of Atlanta, GA; 3 great-grandchildren, Cherish Macklin, Zion Flynn and TaCarri Coleman, all of Flint; sister, Beverly A. Miller of Flint; 3 nieces, Kelly C. Miller of Kansas City, KS, Joezet and Teeya Miller of Flint; 3 nephews, Darryl Brisker of Flint, Andre Brisker of Denver, CO and Tremayne Miller of Kannapolis, NC; aunt, Mildred Reynolds of Albuquerque, NM; numerous cousins including special cousin, Darous (Dukem) Young; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Larry White, Melvin Bishop, Peg, Kenneth Scott, Darwin McMullen, Fred Wallace, Pappa Jarrett, Ronald Hamilton, T’Roy, Fredrica, Barbara Kirkland, Trudy Coats, Carol and his friends from GCCARD. Mr. Don Maurice Miller was preceded in death by: his parents, ALC and Rosalee Miller; sister, Paulette Brisker; and brother-in-law, Hiram Brisker.
