BARNEY, Mr. Dominick E. "Nose" - Age 20, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010. Family hour 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Holy Ghost Chuch of God, 801 Addison St., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Eld. Robert Allen officiating, Dr. Robert Burrell, Sr. Host Pastor. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Barney will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 12Noon-8 p.m. Monday. Mr. Dominick Eric “Nose” Barney was born December 10, 1989 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Johnny and Idella Barney. Dominick graduated from Northwestern High School and was preparing to attend college. He enjoyed spending time with his two daughters, three stepchildren and his loving fiancée’, LaKiesha Waterford, the mother of his children. Dominick enjoyed playing basketball, video games, listening to Young Gotti, playing cards, and most of all, Dominick enjoyed attending church. He also enjoyed spending time with nephews, DJ, BJ, Ziarre and nieces, Quetta and Mika. Dominick really just enjoyed hanging out and spending time with family and friends. He was a very outspoken person that really just enjoyed life to the fullest. Mr. Dominick Eric “Nose” Barney leaves to cherish his memory: fiancée, LaKiesha Waterford; two daughters, Victoria and Nariyah Barney; three stepsons, Kevin, DaShawn and Elijuan Waterford; parents, Johnny Barney and Idella Barney; grandparents, Frances Shield, and Frank Debrus, all of Flint; five sisters, Cassandra, Glenda and Marilyn Barney, Martha Shields, and Alisha Winston; three brothers, Terrance Barney, Andrew Shields and Demetrius Barney; ten nieces; 16 nephews; nine aunts; eight uncles; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Barney and Ebony Wilson; a host of cousins too many to name, many other relatives and friends including special cousins Che’ and Virginia Barney, Lance “Big Brother” Pledger, Isiah Hickman and too many more friends to name. Mr. Barney was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alexander Shields and James Barney; grandmother, Alean Barney May; and aunt, Eleanor Barney. The family would like to express special thanks to Elder Allen, Dr. Burrell and The Holy Ministries Church Family.
