WILLIAMS, Mr. Dion Jarmane - Age 48, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Kenneth L. Stewart, officiating. Interment Lovedale Memorial Cemetery, G-5175 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, MI. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the Chapel 10:00 AM Wednesday. Mr. Williams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday with family present to receive friends 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Mr. Dion Jarmane Williams was born January 20, 1971 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Carolyn Nicholson and Kirk Williams Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of First Union Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Archie Powell Sr. Dion attended Flint Public Schools and worked various factory jobs. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends, playing Dominos and video games. Dion also loved barbecuing for family cookouts, landscaping, watching action movies and listening to music. He had a special love for his mother, he spent a lot of time caring for her as her son and caregiver. Mr. Dion Jarmane Williams leaves to cherish his loving memory: mother, Carolyn Nicholson; father, Kirk (Jacquline) Williams Sr.; grandmother, Rosetta Williams of Waxhaw, NC; love of his life, Ion Jordan; children, Tonica Jordan, Aquaria Jordan, and Dejarnette Dion; grandchildren, Rayquon Gardner, Amiyah and Keonte Wyatt Jr., all of Flint; brother, Shawn James; sister, Charlotte Spencer of Flint; step-brother, Jimmie Nicholson II of Wisconsin; step-sister, Kai (Reggie) Smith of Tennessee; 5 aunts, Laurie Blake, Regina Blake, both of Flint, Tracy Blake-McEwen of Columbus, OH, Sherry Williams of Monroe, NC and Pamela (Robert) Holtz of Waxhaw, NC; 3 uncles, Lonzo Blake Jr. of Lafayette, IN, Derrick Williams and Ernest (Elizabeth) Williams, all of Atlanta, GA; a host of cousins including special cousins, Natasha Breed, Sharon Terrell, Sabin (Jeremy) Blake, Anndreall Russell, Lisa Williams, Lawrence Blake, Llewellyn Jones II, Larashia (Ryon) McCombs, Blake and Brandon McEwen; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Brian Thomas, Ronald Russell, Fonda (Tamika) Jackson, Donald Broadway, Steven Ward, Jerell Johnson, Anthony Polite and Jovan Small. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonzo Sr. and Mollie Blake, and Ernest Williams; brother, Kirk (Lawanda) Williams; step-father, Jimmie Nicholson Sr.; aunt, Vanessa Blake; uncles, Earl Turner, Wayne Blake Sr., Lawrence Blake and Ricky Williams; cousin, Wayne Blake Jr.; and best friend, Ryon Stinson.
