DAVIS, Ms. Diana M. - Age 65, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 1:30 PM Friday, September 6, 2024, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM, Rev. Gregory Hare, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Friday. Ms. Davis will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday, with family present to receive friends from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. Ms. Diana Marie Davis was born July 24, 1959 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Quinn Davis. Diana attended Mt. Morris Church of God in Christ. Her parents spoiled her rotten and gave her the world. Diana was really straight forward in that she didn’t sugar coat shit. She was well loved and respected. Diana loved helping others as well as cooking them a good meal. One thing about Diana she had her picks of the family. She fucked with some and others she didn’t. My mother always made sure everyone around her had everything they needed, especially her children. Diana was “Diane” and if you knew her. Then you knew what the fuck it was. Ms. Diana Marie Davis leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughter, Di’Nika Annette Davis and Di’Anndra Nicole Davis; 9 god-children, Lakeysa Townsend, La’Queisa Haynes Smith, Raphael Plesant, Quiana Towns, Tashina Black, Drew Horniday, Aliya Tripplet, Ciara Carter and Candice Cooper; grandchildren, Ja’Naya Nicole Davis, Ja’mya Ami Davis, Ja’Naria Ami Davis, Demetrius Carter Jr., Detrick Lavelle Hall Jr.; Jae’La Elizabeth Hall, Ja’Khari Frank Davis, Ka’Raya Marie Brown and De’Aire NarJea Davis; special niece, Tamra Billings; special nephew, Frank Davis Billings; 2 aunts, Mary Thomas and Charlotte Gouldin, both of Dyersburg, TN; best friends, Mia Craft, Sandra Byas and Loraine Horniday; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Angelo Carrol (child’s father and family friend) and Arnishcia Paige (her Donut Baby). Ms. Davis was preceded in death by her daughter, Di’Shonna Marie Davis; parents, Frank and Elizabeth Quinn Davis; sister, Annette Davis; brother, Frank Eric Davis; 3 aunts, Ola Mae Moody, Rose Wynn and Doretha Quinn; 3 uncles, Willie Quinn, John Quinn and Charlie Quinn; brother-in-law, Robert Vernerable; and friend, Rodd Quinn.
