HODGE, Mr. Diamond Fleming, Sr. - Age 22, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Bountiful Love Ministries, 3432 W. Pasadena Ave., with funeral service commencing at 12 p.m. Supt. Kevelin B. Jones, Sr. Pastor Pastor Charles Williams officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Saturday. Mr. Hodge will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park blvd., and may be viewed from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday. Mr. Diamond Fleming Hodge, Sr. was born May 1, 1993 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Henry “Butch” Beard III and Demeche Carlene Hodge. He attended Flint Northern High School and was employed at Forge Staffing. Diamond was a member of Freedom Temple Ministries Church Of God In Christ. He enjoyed football and basketball. Diamond loved music, video games and fishing. He was a gentle giant, full of laughter and a very giving person. Diamond was loved by his family and friends. Mr. Diamond Fleming Hodge, Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: devoted mother, Demeche Carlene Hodge; grandmother, Marion Hodge; 5 sisters, Turquoise Hodge, Jade Hodge, Quantessa Williams, Laureda Beard and Brandie Beard-Lowe; 3 brothers, Terence Beard, Mario Watson and Henry Beard IV; a host of nieces and nephews including special nephew, Dajuan J. Hodge; 5 aunts, Geraldine (Joe) Osborne of Oklahoma, Barbara Beard, Pauline (Ray) Allen, Kimberly Smith and Winona Beard; 3 uncles, Gregory Beard, Stanley (Alisha) Beard and Venias Beard, all of Flint; 12 great-aunts, Queen E. Shipp, Geraldine Dent, Berniestine Dent, Betty Hodge, Margaret (Larkin) Muwwakkie, Barbara Johnson, Katherine Hodge, all of Flint, Consuelo “Connie” Dent of Tucson, AZ, Georgia Dent of Atlanta, GA, Shirley Gaines of Robbins, IL, Clover Williams of Muskegon, MI and Edna Hodge; 4 great-uncles, Willie (Louise) Dent of Hilton Head, SC, Arthur (Deborah) Dent of Flint Twp., MI, Monroe (Montey) Dent and Arthur (Winnie) El-A-Min, all of Flint; special fathers, Arthur Young and Walter Lee; special grandmother, Mary Lee; special auntie, Alma Dent-Phillips; a host of other relatives and friends including, Thomas “Ty” Rawls, Jaquan Pittman, Lassidere Adams, Clyde Grant, Terrell Rawls, Casarah Flenard and Sadiyia Grant. Mr. Hodge was preceded in death by his son, Diamond Fleming Hodge, Jr.; father, Henry “Butch” Beard III; grandmothers, Bobbie Jean and Jessie Beard; grandfathers, Johnnie L. Hodge and Henry Beard II; brother, Juan M. Abruquah; uncle, Danny Lee Hodge; 2 great-aunts and 8 great-uncles.
