BUFORD, Mr. Deondrae T. - Age 18, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Prayer Garden C.O.G.I.C., 3918 Fleming Rd. Pastor Jerry Givens officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church 1 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Buford will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12-8 p.m. Friday with family present from 5-7 p.m. Deondrae Trevon Buford was born October 8, 1992 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Sharonda Sumner and Trevor Buford. He was a resident of Flint, Michigan. Deondrae attended Carman Ainsworth High School. He was employed at Man Alive Clothing Store and "Dial Direct" painting. Deondrae’s hobbies were shopping, video games, listening to music, spending time with his friends and family. He was full of self-confidence, loved jewelry, his "dreads" and true religion clothing. Deondrae took pride in everything he did and always strived to be the best. He was a gifted artist and shared that talent with his little brother Keion. Deondrae leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Sharonda Sumner and Trevor (Latoya) Buford; stepparent, Bryant Keith Walker; grandparents, Teresa and Larry Sanders, Willie Buford, Jody and Terry Franklin; great-grandparents, Virginia and Carl Coleman, Barbara and Willie Buford, Barbara Perrin, Charles Sumner; great-great grandmother, Janie Wright; god-parents, Tamekia Tucker and Eddie Day; 3 sisters, Desiree Boyce, Bryanna Walker and Jacri Greene; 7 brothers, Demitrius Buford, Bryant Walker, Jr., Keion Walker, Trevor Buford, Jr., Tayshaun Buford, Anthony Harper and Tycarious Harper; a host of aunts, Vanessa Hogan, Tonya Townsend, Andrea Perrin, Carla (Charles) Jackson, Candice Boone, Rolanda Perrin, JaQuaya Buford, Riana Buford, Kanayko Buford, Tekeia Franklin, Tonya Price and Vickie (Greg) Jones, Earneisha Lay and Ebony Coleman; 4 uncles, Larry Boyd, Jr., Derry Buford, Antonio Sanders and Damon Franklin; a host of cousins including 5 special cousins, Phillip Robinson, Avontez Boone, Candisha Boone, Jonaya Ellis and Chaquinta Price; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Marquel Ponder, Jalen Smith, Myron Buford, Drayon Reed, Jalen Larry, Rayco Patton and Ricky Parker, Jr., and Quantrez Anderson. Deondrae was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Peter Perrin II; grandfather, Peter Perrin III; grandmothers, Karen Price and Eula Walker; great-grandmother, Mary Bradshaw and great aunt, Debra Perrin. The family would like to express special thanks to the many friends and loved ones who supported us during this time.
