Mrs. Denise Palmer

PALMER, Mrs. Denise - Age 76, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at her residence. Family hour 130 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at the chapel 1:30 PM Wednesday. Mrs. Palmer will lie in state in the chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Tuesday. Ms. Denise Irene Palmer “Reese” was born February 16, 1947 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Homer and Frances Mae Palmer. Denise was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and later transitioned to new Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, but Macedonia is where she stayed. Denise loved watching Let’s Make A Deal, The Price Is Right and soap operas. She also loved her gospel music and taking her grandchildren, nieces, nephew and any neighborhood kids to Vacation Bible School. She was big on family and friends and she loved her some Taco, Orange Pop, Popcorn, Jolly Rancher Sticks and Pay Days. Denise had a smile bright as the sun that will be truly missed. She served on Usher Board #2 and sang with the Community Gospel Travelers. Ms. Denise Irene Palmer leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Frances Yvonne Palmer (Glen Starling Jr.); 2 step-children, Clarence Key Jr. and Charise Key Gray; grandchildren, TeaaQua Harden, TeaQuina Harden (Thomas Brown Jr.) and Regina Palmer; great-grandchildren, Dejionna Bradley, TeQuan Harden, Leeyah Williams and Kyria Campbell; 3 nieces, Roberta Palmer, Lavinia Palmer-Tucker and Shirley (Terry Sr.) Palmer Key; 2 nephews, Will Palmer, all of Flint and Manus Palmer of Atlanta, GA; aunt, Rose Lyon of Flint; a host of uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Barbra Potts and Romel Key. Ms. Palmer was preceded in death by her parent, Homer and Frances Mae Palmer; grandparents, Frank and Della Hartfield; sister, Carol Ann Palmer; brother, Reginald Palmer; uncle, Rev. Dr. Turner S. Hartfield; aunt, Roxie Hartfield: Charlie Hall and Barbara Williams.
