DUPREE, Mr. DeMario C. - Age 21, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Hurley Medical Center. Family hour 10:30AM Friday, June 19, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Friday. Mr. Dupree will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2PM-8PM Thursday. Mr. Demario Chauntrail Dupree was born April 11, 1988 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Billie Joe Dupree and Ricardo Hicks. Demario attended Flint Public Schools and Heavenly Host Full Gospel Baptist Church. He loved playing video games, basketball, listen to music and performing with Street Team. Demario enjoyed spending time with his daughter, family and friends. He loved to eat tacos, chili and fruity pebbles. Mr. Demario C. Dupree leaves to cherish his memory: loving mate, Lashawnda Singleton; daughter, Samiyah Lanea Dupree; parents, Billie Joe Dupree and Ricardo Hicks; stepfather, David Bates; grandparents, Earl Lee (Verna) Hicks; 2 brothers, Maurquese Dupree and Demetrius Williams; 2 step-sisters, Shere’e and Sheen’a Bates; stepbrother, Shelton Bates; 5 nieces; 2 nephews; 5 aunts, Shirley Clady, Rosemary and Charlotte Dupree, all of Flint, Vanessa Lewis of Rockford, IL and Annette Jackson; 6 uncles, Alvin Dupree, Troy (Betty) Dupree, Tony Dupree, Fred (Barbara) Dupree, Kenneth Dupree and Tony Hicks of TX; godmother, Liz McNair; a host of cousins including special cousins, Latrice, Donisha, Athan “Ace” Hurt and Sara Carr; a host other relatives and friends including, best friends, Prentice, Mitchell, Damien, Lil Penny, Manny, RaQuan, Ty, Grady, Rodney Haynes and J-West. Mr. Dupree was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ozell Dupree; grandfather, Freeman Dupree; aunts, Gloria and Denise Dupree; and cousin, LaQuanda Lavender.
