SMITH, Ms. Delores A. - Age 40, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at McLaren-Flint. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Interment Gracelawn Community Cemetery, G-5710 N. Saginaw Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 a.m. Friday. Ms. Smith will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Ms. Delores A. Smith was born February 12, 1976 in Blytheville, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James and Bonnie Smith. The family moved to Flint, Michigan in the late 1980’s, where she attended Flint Community Schools. Delores attended Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church and was a proud Flint Northern High school “Viking”, “Class of ‘94”. She was a seasonal worker for Bordine’s Nursery. Delores loved to cook for all her family and friends and get everyone together for a few card games. Ms. Delores A. Smith leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters, Janiya and Angel Smith; 6 sons, Quatrail Smith, Larry Dunn Jr., Taren Green, Shiron Hamlet, Jamarion and Jamal Tuwaiq; grandchildren, ZaNiya, Zalecia and Christian Smith, all of Flint and Se’Neah Dunn of Lexington, KY; mother, Mrs. Bonnie Smith; grandparents, Melinda Hughes of Blytheville, AR and Earline Burrage of Flint; 6 sisters, Angela Robinson, Beverly and Jennifer Smith, Iesha, Sara and Jamie Bonner, all of Flint; 2 brothers, Sampson and Jermaine Smith; 7 nieces; 12 nephews; 5 aunts, Ruthie Glass of Jonesboro, AR, Mattie Robinson, Deloris Booth of Port Huron, MI, Alma Wilborn and Bertha Burrage; 5 uncles, Rev. Willie Tyler, Allen, Donny and Luther Burrage, all of Flint, and Quint Burrage of Davenport, IA; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Thomas Steen, Erica Wright, Cynthia McCaster, Tracey and Jojuana Smith, all of Flint, and many other special friends. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her daughter, Darnisha Oaks; father, James Smith; and cousin, Kalota Burrage. The family would like to express special thanks to McLaren – Flint and Lawrence E.
