Della Sanders

SANDERS, Ms. Della - Age 47, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family hour 9:30AM Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 1309 N. Ballenger Hwy., with funeral service commencing at 10AM. Dr. Rev. Tara Sutton officiating. Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 9:30AM Saturday. Ms. Sanders will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., and may be viewed from 2PM-8PM Friday. Ms. Della M. Sanders was born September 20, 1959 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of George N. Sanders and Equilla Williams. Della attended Flint Schools and graduated from Northwestern High School "Class of 1977". Della was employed by Hurley Medical Center and gave 16 years of dedicated service. Della lived her life loving the Lord and living by his word, she was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Della loved her family and was a mother to all. She took car of everyone. Her best advice and motto was "Don't worry about it, pray about it". She enjoyed listening to gospel music and ballroom dancing. Della will always be remembered and truly missed by the people whose lives she touched. Della leaves to cherish in her loving memory: daughter, Mary Rice; 2 grandchildren, Mitchel and Markel Rice; mother, Equilla Willams; stepmother, Ethel Sanders; 4 sisters, Debra Sanders, Lillie (LaKay) Avant, Kyana Paul all of Flint, and LaTonya Sanders of Georgia; 6 brothers, George Sanders Jr., Willie Sanders, Roderick (Belinda) Mcadory, Kenneth Sanders all of Flint, Eric (Tina) Spencer of Florida and Jomo Sanders of Houston, TX; aunts, Pearl Clemons of Chattanooga, TN and Lula Warren; uncle, Ernest Sanders; sister-in-law, Lenitta Gibson all of Flint; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Roland Nickerson, Peggy Gentry, Debbie Taylor, Marquetta Crowder and Sandra Starling. Ms. Sanders was preceded in death by her father, George N. Sanders; niece, Ebony Sanders; aunt, Lillie B. Northern; uncle, Robert Lee Warren. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Levin, Dr. Pandrangi, and Dr. Naik, the entire staff at Midwestern Regional Medical Center and Heartland Hospice, also Rev. Dr. Tara Sutton and Bethel United Methodist Church.
