Mrs. Del Marie Cabine

CABINE, Mrs. Del Marie - Age 79, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at her residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Rev. Bobby L. Banks Jr., officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Funeral Home 10:30 AM Wednesday. Mrs. Cabine will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Tuesday. Mrs. Del Marie Cabine was born November 28, 1941 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, the daughter of Fred B. Sr. and Geneva (Carpenter) January. She graduated from Clio High School and retired from General Motors Corporation after 30+ years. Mrs. Cabine loved the Lord and was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She married Jimmy Lee Henderson and from this union 2 daughters were born, Sonya Henderson and Tiffani (Henderson) Brown. Mrs. Cabine married Garland Cabine on August 14, 1981 and celebrated 30 years of marriage until his death in 2010. She enjoyed shopping with her daughter, Tiffani and granddaughter, Rae’Onna and joking around with Sonya and grandkids. Mrs. Cabine also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going on trip with her gang of sisters, The Fabulous Red Hat Granny's. She loved watching her game shows. Mrs. Del Marie Cabine leaves to cherish her memory: 2 daughters, Sonya Henderson and Tiffani (Dion Sr.) Brown, all of Flint; 7 step-children, Kim (Jeffery) Mitchell, Winston (Lynn) Stephens, Danny (Yvonne) Cabine, Dennis (Melissa) Cabine, Donald Cabine, Derick Cabine and Debra Cabine; grandchildren, Dezmond Henderson, Alante Henderson, Christopher Wren Jr., Raekwon Henderson, Rae’Onna Henderson-Brown, Dion Brown Jr., Dionté Brown, Donoven Smith, Chanice Smith, Brandon Stephens, Cierra Stephens, Jahon (Keya) Cabine and Kai Cabine; grand dog, Buddy Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Mildred Kilgore, Barbara Jene Carpenter, Dorthy Mack, Mrs. Wilson and Betty Loften. Mrs. Cabine was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Cabine; parents, Fred B. Sr. and Geneva January; 2 sisters, Genevieve Strong and Alma Haralson; 2 brothers, Fred B. January Jr. and James January; 2 nephews; niece, Donna Louise; 2 sisters-in-law, Vivian January and Dorthy January; 2 brothers-in-law, Herman Strong Jr. and Daniel Haralson.
