Mr. Dejuan Cortez' Topp Sr.

TOPP, Mr. Dejuan Cortez' Sr. - Age 44, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at his residence. Family hour 1:30 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:30 PM Saturday. Mr. Topp will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Dejuan Corteź Topp Sr. was born August 4, 1978 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Nadine R. Topp and Curtis D. Brown. Dejuan accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Flint Public Schools where he received his G.E.D. Dejuan a jack of many trades. He was a very compassionate and caring man, and would give you the shirt off his back. Dejuan loved being with family and working on cars. He was a big brother to all of his cousins and friends. Mr. Dejuan Corteź Topp Sr. leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters and a son, Teanna (Topp) Huddleston, Dejuan Topp Jr. and Naylani R. Topp; mother, Nadine R. Topp; grandmother, Deborah R. Johnson-Vaughn; 6 sisters, Mewnika Brown of Milwaukee, WI, Veronica Brown of Tennessee, Shamen Briggs of Detroit, MI, Tammy Huddleston of Lansing, MI, Briana Baer and Tyshieka Beman of Flint; 7 brothers, Le’Roy Topp, Kevin Topp both of Flint, Marcus Briggs, Carl Briggs, Teron Briggs, all of Detroit, MI, Marcus Huddleston and Marcellis Huddleston, both of Flint; 3 nieces, Kenijah Topp, Nevaeh Topp and Kimonia Topp; 6 nephews, Wayne Topp, Martinez Topp, Kevin Topp Jr., Isaiah Topp, Jamarious Coffee and King Topp; 5 aunts, Valarie (Huebert) Holmes of Flint, MI, Hellen (Curtis) Smith, Ronnie Tina Pearson of San Antonio, TX Linda Pitts of Flint and Lorraine Smith of West Virginia; 4 uncles, Mr. & Mrs. Anthony L. Johnson, John Topp, Robert Johnson and Mr. & Mrs. Leroy Topp; mother-in-law, Terrie Huddleston of Flint; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Tia Lorick, Cherie Huddleston; best friends, Ceron Bates (Creon) and Shaundrea Benton. Mr. Topp was preceded in death by his father, Curtis D. Brown; grandmothers, Hellen Tolliver and Emma Jean Brown; brother, Wayne Sims; and uncle, Reginald Reed.
